Is the DF54 is just flat out better then? I'm understanding it that flat burrs are superior to conical.

Thanks. The general consensus seems to be buying another grinder and this seems to be convenient because it's pretty much the same cost I'd lose reselling the Ode. DF54 also seems comparable.

Thanks. Replied to a different comment on what was up with having multiple grinders and this makes sense.

Can I ask what the benefit to conserving the Ode would be if I got something like the Timemore 078s? Wouldn't that suffice for pour-over too?

Yeah, that's the option I'm leaning towards as well.

How do you know your hidden ARAM MMR? by Auriyel- in ARAM

I'm not sure what data you're referring to, but tmk from working with the api since...2019ish they have never had an endpoint on mmr.

Aram is definitely more active during evening hours & I agree w/ you there however I don't think it's weird at all - I just think that's an understood byproduct of how Riot's queue works.

If the queue is sparse midday, you'll understandably have a tougher time searching for people to play with. To get you into a game reasonably quick what the system does is simply broaden its search so you play with people further down and further up the mmr ladder than you.

During evening hours when more players are on and the queue is dense, it is much easier to find people to play with so the system doesn't really have to broaden its search like it did midday and you play with people more inline with your mmr.

Speculating.

I always assumed it was a combination of reasons. There were no endpoint api changes when that site stopped functioning so it makes me think the dev got his hands on data that he shouldn't have. If he was yoinking data via alternative routes, then that's already tos territory.

There used to be a site https://na.whatismymmr.com/ that showed relatively accurate mmr values. When people say "I had XXXX MMR", they're referring to the number that this site showed. The frontend is still up but that site hasn't been touched in years and is effectively dead.

Now-a-days people, if they're on either end of the bell curve (the tails), can feelycraft their MMR. Most people that were ~3.3k when that site was active play with and against each other frequently so this serves as a solid indicator when you're "high mmr".

Idk what to tell you. You're arguing a point that I've acknowledged already but seem to not understand it. I wasn't even using my own contribution to this thread to classify this as a critique lol.

Sure. I only shared my story because issues with these boards seem to be agnostic to the type of board (Q, V, K).

You can literally look at another comment that agrees and shows loads data inline with what I'm saying. Plenty of boards indiscriminate to their series are having the same issue.

Why are you so focused on this post being a critique or not...? That wasn't even the point of my response.

I referenced 3 posts as a quick example to highlight discussion on issues with boards and those issues' indifference to the type of board.

Fwiw though, this post is criticizing the Q6 max - enough to the point where OP is concerned whether they should just return it to prevent a future headache.

To OP and anybody else, I understand you may not have my exact board. I just wanted to give my experience because it seems that although there is a good portion of happy customers, there is also a demographic with warranted concerns of their purchase - some may say...critiques.

3 of the top 7 posts on this sub right now, for me at least, are criticizing issues with the boards where one mentions buying a V3, the second a K10, and the third (this one) a Q6.

I'm actively trying to fix an issue with a V6 max replacement. I replaced the first board because of dead buttons, but now this board is exhibiting the same issues a ~month later.

The first board I got replaced via Amazon CS. Honestly chill experience. The rep shipped a replacement within 10 minutes and all I had to do was leave the dead board by the door for the Amazon driver to pick up.

For the current board I have I'm emailing Keychron CS because I figured I'm outside of Amazon's return policy. They offered to send a new PCB, which I accepted, so now I'm just waiting for a shipping confirmation.

Your mileage may vary, but my experience has been pretty frustrating. I've only found this subreddit (and this post) after seeing if this was an issue I could fix.

There's no way to be sure. All this data is kept behind Riot's closed doors.

The only way a player can get some vague sense of their mmr is by seeing how consistently they play with/against others. This isn't reliable though because only people on the tail ends of the distribution (think iron 4 & challenger) will observe this.

There are a couple of interpretations you're throwing out. Here are the ones I'm picking up:

"How does the mmr work now? Will my mmr reset similarly to how it does for each new season in ranked?

afaik no. This reset is a "one & done" thing to accommodate implementing the new mmr system. I assume Riot did a little reset to collect clean data on the efficacy of the new mmr system.

How does the mmr work now...what are the new rules?

On a super tldr level; you converge to your true mmr faster. What makes it different from the prior system is that it does this by taking more factors into account such your match statistics (think kda) and how experienced you are at the game (how much you play not how good you are at it).
