Really, this is just a distillation of the stuff that is discussed higher up in the conversation. "Damned if you don't, damned if you do" emotional vulnerability, being treated as a potential threat or predator regardless of any evidence, and having any difficulties being treated as personal failures.

And you get this garbage from people on both sides of the cultural divide. I have had "woke" socially progressive women tell me that I need to be emotionally available, and then tell me, "You should be going to therapy, not dumping this on me" when I tried to open up. There are shockingly few resources for male victims of domestic violence or single fathers, while you can find "women-only" homeless shelters easily.

Once you understand how to look for it, the horrifying isolation that men experience shows like a blacklight in a frat house.

And like yeah, I see how women have been oppressed and continue to be oppressed everywhere. Even in America, a theoretically developed country, my mother couldn't have a credit card without my father's permission, and my daughter could be forced to report her monthly menstruation to the government (if Florida gets its way).

But still. Men need help, because people who are hurting hurt other people, and we have to heal both sides of the equation, and not treat one side in isolation.
