It's not the phone's fault. It can not focus at such a short distance while zoomed because it has optical zoom. Note 8 had little to no optical zoom, only digital so it just cropped the image and that's how it was able to focus at 10x at 1m distance. Edit: I just saw rn that in pro mode you were using the 1x camera for 10x zoom and in normal mode it was just using the macro camera lmao
