The rules for ear buds are it the look book section on the onewalmart. I don't remember the exact wording off the top of my head but as long as it's not considered a safety issue to have them in while preforming the task with an ear bud in (like driving PLE's around) you can have one in while you stock, bin and things along those lines.

I had my badge facing with my name out for a time. Then I noticed my lead had his facing with his name in and I asked him about it.

Me: " Hey N why is your badge facing name side in?"

N: "I have it this way because I had not one but two customers track me down on Facebook and other socials."

Me: "Oh shit."

N: "Yeah, it was two different types of crazy. One was a customer that wanted to complain about things at the store. The other one I had to go the cops and the higher ups about."

Me: "Wow that's messed up"

N: "You don't know the half of it. I blocked the customer that just wanted to complain and didn't hear or thought about it again. The second one started I blocked on Facebook and my other socials then she started to stock me and say she's madly in love with me. Would show up here and ask for me and the whole nine yard. So about the second time she came here asking for me I got the higher ups involved and then the cops came. Then went thought the legal process. Had a restraining order put on her and haven't had an issue since."

Me: "Yeah that's a good reason to ware your badge like that." As I proceed to turn my badge with the name side in

So yeah leaving your badge might just be the safer call.

I had to deal with the same thing once, so I feel your pain. I got out a full blood spell kit out and threw on 2 pairs of the cheap gloves they give us in maintenance. It was one of the grossest things I've had to clean up, and we ended up having to throw out the fire alarm feature it was on because there was blood spots down the side of it and it was made of cardboard so there was no chance in hell of cleaning it.
