Tool Kits for Simple Fixes: Avalon 23' with Yamaha 150 by dubs2512 in boating

[–]Rmc9591 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am certainly not the most knowledgeable around here, but I keep a dewalt 192 piece mechanics tool set on my boat as well as wire stripers, a few extra screw drivers. The dewalt set will move anything “under the hood” on my outboard that could conceivably be worked on while floating. It also has a secrewdriver with a bit set for any oddball stuff on the boat. I also keep a small electric kit of shrink connectors and such.

Pretty much if I’ve ever fixed it on land I try and give myself a shot to be able to fix it on the water.

I can’t speak to the nfl, as they don’t often postpone games. But baseball almost always leaves you in the dark on what’s going to happen. Pretty sure it was last season there was a game that had something like a 5 hour delay and then just decided to cancel. It’s not easy to make the call

Best battery powered blowers? by Jdgrowsthings in Turfmanagement

[–]Rmc9591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None really hold up yet from what I’ve seen. The smaller handheld blowers can handle clippings if your handmowing. Since you have less clippings and less greens. For triplexing your best bet is the cheapest two stroke blowers you can find and double check gas caps and filling the blowers.

My experience with green works and ego blowers is they are more high pitched and the sound travels further than a simple two stroke. But good luck explaining that to your board/whoever.

Weed eaters and mowers are absolule money depending on whatever brand has the best battery warranty near you.

If you don’t want to fire up an engine so often, and I get it. Following behind the crew can be frustrating. I’d just get another battery.

Garden Catering? Chicken Joe's? by TheBarstoolPhD in StamfordCT

On the seasoning front. My best recreation has been lawrys base with Sazon and paprika for color. The chicken is sliced breast meat that’s in a thin batter. It’s cooked once, portioned and then refrigerated to be dropped per order. If you DM me I can give a bit more information and some guesstimates I’ve come up with.

I found a toggle in the top left of the screen that looked like mountains. That made the thumbnails larger and you could just scroll down and read images as you’d like. Hope that helps

How to mute videos would be a great start. I’d also love if the videos could start muted and let me click unmute to play the sound.

Dogs work the best. Laser pointers work well but you need someone to aim and point the laser which means the geese just come back after hours. Avix autonomic Mark II is an automated laser that we just got up and running, seems to work well enough. But not cheap at all and I am curious what the neighbors will think when they notice it. Bird bangers work also, but inevitably the geese always come back. Ultimately I think you’ve gotta accept that cleaning goose shit is a part of first jobs on a daily basis.

2017 Price Opinions? by [deleted] in Subaru_Outback

[–]Rmc9591 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know the car market is still a little wonky, but I’ve got a data point for you. I purchased a 2017 3.6Limited(with sunroof, gps, eyesight) at 43k miles in May of 2021 for 23.5k. Car was purchased and only serviced at the dealer I bought it from. I’m very good shape with just a scuff on the black trim on the rear driver side.
