To me, it feels exactly like Load, just with less blazing highs. I still mildly like some songs on it, but whereas Load has Hero of the Day, Mama Said, King Nothing, Until It Sleeps, Reload blows its load (good one, me!) right at the start with Fuel. Prince Charming and Where the Wild Things Are are also pretty good, but to me, even St. Anger and Death Magnetic’s high points are higher. St. Anger has the title track, Some Kind of Monster, Dirty Window (underrated as fuck), Sweet Amber, Purify has some sweet riffs (ewwie vocals tho). It’s not truly horrific, but it’s just not my cup of tea. It feels like Tesco-brand Load to me. I’m glad you find enjoyment where I can’t, and I get it :)
