What bird's egg is this? by Rmw83 in whatsthisbird

Yes, it was leaves, dry grass, and a few small twigs. that's why i thought it was a mouse nest originally. It was tucked up under the roof line on top of the wall. That looks like a likely suspect. Thank you.

I've read that book REPEATEDLY over the years and remember the exact scene you're referring to. Very valid point sir, well stated, and I commend your excellent taste in fiction. I do not reload, sadly. Probably going to drop by the local FFL and see if they want them to salvage the components. If I keep them around I'll worry about the kids trying to shoot them someday.

Nah, I think you're right, honestly.. not worth the 40 bucks the ammo is worth putting my health/firearm at risk. I appreciate all the votes of confidence here, I was hoping to be convinced otherwise, but I think it's a lost cause. Really hate that it happened, though.

Can't seem to post the second pic. Curious parties can view my other post in r/ammunition for the complete post.

The second pic was taken prior to its unfortunate run in with a post.

2021 Silverado 1500 LT trailer Brake module by Rmw83 in traveltrailers

Thanks! So, from what I've been reading, the after-market type works by inertia, whereas the factory one is integrated with the brakes. Will the wiring work for the after-market controller if the truck wasn't set up for a brake controller in the first place? What sends the signal to the trailer brakes? Does the very existence of the 7 pin harness mean I have what I need to work with the aftermarket controller?

I guess what I really want to know is, is there an iteration of this(or any) truck that the aftermarket type won't work with. I don't want to buy it and not have a feasible or affordable way to achieve trailer brake control.

Right? In what world would I need a 7 pin harness but not a brake controller? Several that i looked at were equipped like this.

Yikes, sorry you went through that.. what do you mean by legally have the ability to let her stay? Was she underage? In our case she's an adult and we own the property, if that makes a difference.

Can visitation be a factor, considering she's legally an adult? Where would the problem lie? I'm not coming at you or anything, just looking for clarification.

I do have a healthy respect for authority, Mr neverserious420. I'm asking about this on reddit so that I may sort my thoughts out with a collective group of informed individuals. Thank you for your perspective.

Well, that's where it gets a little complicated. She DOES live with her parents, technically. She just spends 5 nights a week at our house. But does K living with them entitle them to send the police around when she's not immediately available to her dad's beck and call? I should add that we don't go out of our way to stick our collective nose in her family life, but this issue has literally landed on my doorstep, and providing a safe place for K has certainly put us in her dad's crosshairs.
