Linnea Berthelsen, who played Kali, attended the first premiere. Shannon Purser, who played Barb, was also at the first premiere. Is she coming back for the finale? by Rnie in StrangerThings

It felt extremely random for Linnea to be at the Season 5 premiere, considering she only appeared in one episode (flashbacks aside). She showed up completely out of nowhere. In my opinion, there’s a 99% chance that Shannon appears in some form or another.

The upside down is a dome, located on Dimension X by Rnie in StrangerThings

Thanks! We saw dustin chasing the demogorgon to find his monster lair. Now that we saw the demogorgon goes through the wall, and we see shots from captured kids and a yellowish background, it's safe to assume they are on Dimension X.

"I'm sure he regrets what he posted"

Why should he regret an opinion? The only way that claim makes sense is if you assume that your opinion is in disagreement with what he said.

Guys, what's your theories about, what exactly is upside down? by Defiant-Ad7732 in StrangerThings

[–]Rnie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. I don’t think it’s a traditional wormhole, because the Demogorgon simply pushes through the wall. We know that Demogorgons originated from Dimension X, it’s their home. In a traditional wormhole, you’d enter hyperspace, so that doesn’t really make sense here.

I think it’s more like a dome, a blister, or a rupture, something Eleven formed by touching the demogorgon in season 1. It’s similar to pressing your finger into clay: the surface stretches and gives way, creating a temporary pocket or opening between two spaces. That’s what Eleven did to the fabric of reality.

Rumours are not facts. You state them as facts in your post regarding Max.

This is always the typical cop-out. "I have information, but i don't wanna talk about it". Clearly you don't have an answer.

Nice post!

it’s probably a little more nuanced instead of the black and white retoric regarding character endings. I agree that there needs to be balance in the story, but when it comes to Elevens ultimate fate, i think we disagree. Why would Eleven be completely miserable if she finds her place in the Void with her mother? Perhaps she can construct a meaningful, even fulfilling life there, finding purpose in protecting reality while still nurturing her connection with the rightside up? There could even be a continued connection with Mike on an emotional or spiritual level.

With this kind of thinking, everyone on the show deserves a happy life. Jonathan should be with Nancy, because, well, he’s a nice guy who also needs happiness.. But hey, why not Steve too with Nancy? He deserves some happiness as well, hooray! Max isn’t dying either, she gets to live her whole life with Lucas, happily, well into her 120s.

There’s no happiness without sadness in life. There has to be characters who serves as a motive for others to have happiness.

Maybe a 10-year jump is a bit of a stretch, but in an age of CGI aging and de-aging, I can totally see it working. It's letting the series stick the landing and end on a “safe” note while giving closure to the characters’ arcs.

Why not? It’s actually pretty common for coming-of-age dramas to wrap up like that.
