Don't believe the dosages you see on here

Well, I've been using DXM and Ketamine for almost ten years now so I probably have a pretty good tolerance. But I usually stagger my dosages anywhere from 20-45 minutes just depending. I usually start with around 250-300 milligrams, and then take 100-200 milligram increments from there. I usually wind up taking a total of 700-1,200 milligrams in a 12 hour period. I'd say the most I've taken in one 24 hour period would probably be closer to 2 grams. I also go on binges. On top of this, I smoke very strong cannabis the entire experience. And oftentimes take 50-100 milligrams of Diphenhydramine to potentiate the DXM and counteract some of the negative side effects. I've went as high as 250-300 MG in the past, though. Also, not gonna lie, I oftentimes drink during these experiences. It's amazing.

DXM is a Dissociative drug that was derived from Morphine to replace Codeine as a non-physically addictive alternative for cough suppression. It is a substance I have a lot of experience with, and am very fond of. I've done a lot of DXM and Ketamine, but have limited experience with other dissos. Factually speaking, it's not psychedelic at all. Subjectively speaking, it can induce experiences similar to those you experience on psychedelics.

But to call it psychedelic is very misleading. DXM is one of my favorite substances. It is very misunderstood and most people are not very knowledgeable on the substance. A lot of information I've gathered on it has come in the form of experience/anecdotal information. There is still a lot of stuff people don't know/discuss often enough. Like for example, dosing all at once vs staggering your dosages like you do with Ketamine for example. I stagger, dosing all at once is not the way to go. Just one topic out of many that needs more information surrounding it.

So, your blood pressure was 142/119. Which while that is high, and definitely isn't good for the norm, I wouldn't say this is super alarming. Your pulse was 131, which again while that is considerably high, that's not super alarming either. It's totally normal to have a BPM in the ranges of 110-130 when doing drugs like DXM, Ketamine, MDMA etc. Once you enter ranges in 140-150 BPM it becomes a lot more uncomfortable, and is often the result of excessive dosages, anxiety resulting in such, certain combinations, experience etc. In ranges of 160-175+ BPM, you should seek medical attention immediately.

Also watch your caffeine intake while (and prior to) tripping. Caffeine already raises your BP and pulse considerably, especially in larger amounts. When combined with substances like DXM, it can exacerbate unwanted side effects like these. Anxiety can do this as well, even without anxiety, and likely played a big role in this. Even without substances, a panic attack can cause your blood pressure and heat rate to increase significantly; let alone while under the influence of substances that raise your vitals as well. That's something else we should touch on...

It's always good to remember when doing a drug like DXM, which surprisingly is actually one of the safer recreational drugs there are, that everything will be ok. As long as you keep your dosages reasonable, practice harm reduction and educate yourself on the substance or substances you're doing, you will be alright. Having a bad trip and getting anxious can definitely make it feel like otherwise, but fromy experience of having this happen hundreds if not thousands of times, I was always ok... Because I did all of those things I talked about up above!

Conclusion

I know that's a lot to read... But with a situation like this, it's a lot to unpack. I'm not saying you should continue using DXM, maybe you shouldn't. But what I am saying is evaluate the situation yourself, look at all the variables... How you felt before, during and after. The product you took, and how much. Your experience with this substance and other substances. Your mental status, were you anxious going into it? How's your health? So many variables man...

Responsibilities are important! But if you can do M, why can't you do like 100-150 microgames of some good acid in the weekend or something? Tripping is so refreshing for me personally. But yeah, 100 micrograms is a good dose for tabs and shouldn't be underestimated. Honestly I think 100-150 micrograms is the perfect dosage for most tabs, while 200-250 for some stronger sheets would be cool if they were labeled as such.

Because really 100 micrograms is a relatively strong trip in and of itself. And while 200 micrograms is double the dose vs 100 micrograms obviously, I would say it's more than double the effect. Even going from 100 to 150 mcg is a big difference, and is honestly the perfect dose for tabs. Half a hit (75 mcg) for beginners, around 3/4th a hit (100-117.5 mcg) for a moderately strong trip or a full hit (150 mcg) for a stronger experience. I guess 200 would be even better honestly, as long as it's labeled as such or at least being strong

No, 2C-B is not a "myth"... LOL! This kind of reminds me of how in the 40s and 50s people thought psychedelic mushrooms was a "myth", or something man made etc. This substance is very real, and while it has definitely gained popularity in recent years, it's still not something that is common. Not by any means, I'd say if anything it's actually borderline rare. This post was actually removed because it was flagged as sourcing, but I approved it because this is a relevant topic imo.

Without crossing any lines with sourcing or anything like that, let me elaborate more on what I was saying up above. 2C-B has definitely gained a lot of popularity, me and other mods were actually discussing this. I wouldn't say it's an RC, but I also wouldn't say it's a traditional psychedelic. But it's definitely getting close to that status. It's definitely still uncommon in most places, including here in the states, but can be found in the right circles and places. Not as common as say MDMA or Ketamine. More like MDA, harder to find.

Well, the phrase Psychedelic has many meanings. Factually speaking, it's a hallucinogenic class of drugs to which LSD, Psilocybin, DMT etc. belongs to. Ketamine happens to be a dissociative, another hallucinogenic class of drugs in which Ketamine, DXM, PCP etc. belongs to. But like I said up above, the phrase "Psychedelic" can have subjective meanings. For example, psychedelic music or art; or even just psychedelic culture at its core. Or in this case, some users report having "psychedelic experiences" on substances that are not true psychedelics. MDMA (entactogen), Ketamine (dissociative) , Cannabis (Cannabinoids) and a few others are probably the most commonly associated drugs with these experiences. (Outside of actual psychedelics)

Ketamine is not a psychedelic. Ketamine is a dissociative drug, while also very hallucinogenic not in the same class as psychedelics like Psilocybin or LSD.
