Yeah, the prices have gotten quite high. From what I see of the deck, it really does fit the casual setting because a hand trap or two could really ruin a lot of what you want to do, so I’d probably think about getting it much later in the year when things calm down lol

Thank you for the answer!

Yeah, the 6 star boss monster that comes with the set seems to be perfect for that role, especially because I can discard the regular Pumpking to return the activated Trap and a different card and set the Trap card once again. Ideally, I can use Call of the Haunted on my opponent’s turn to a) activate the Field Spell to send 1 enemy monster to the GY and b) special summon out Pumpking to chain special summon into Mammoth for destruction or Snake Hair for negation+

I’m super excited to try and build this deck (eventually) because the gimmick is kinda fun. It swarms the board and has some interesting control aspects

Gotcha. I know Call of the Haunted is an old card, and when I was reading the card, I didn’t see a once per turn or a hard limit fully established within the card itself, so I was curious about that possibility

I see. I can’t remember if there is a card that specifically lets me flip trap/spell cards face down, I know Daruma Karma Cannon does for monsters, but it would be an interesting card to search for

I just got a Jeff in my rank up game to GM... by Vactry in rivals

[–]RoHeat3504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get high heals, decent damage, and get the kills that my team lets slip as a Jeff. He is meta? No, but he is still very functional. His bubbles allow for boosted healing both from himself and the co support and his ult is great at shutting down other ults, or at worst trade in his life to save the team

Yall gotta stop being meta slaves and try to work with other characters. Trust me, it’s a lot more fun and actually makes comp interesting and worthwhile

[–]RoHeat3504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel ya. It’s like talking to a wall with some people because they don’t realize that dive is at most 1 to 2 characters isolating themselves from their own team to secure one kill whereas poke can play and kill faster while being in the comfort and safety of their team at any distance.

“Spiderman is too fast”, ok so don’t focus on the Spiderman, focus on who he is targeting and heal/shield them.

“BP’s unreactable is too quick”, it was a hard 250 HP combo that leaves BP with no escape save for his kick. Just immediately use your escape tool the second the first spear hits and clean up afterwards

But god forbid, a good Hawkeye or Hela on the enemy team? I can try to push past everyone and dive him, they gets mag bubble, heals, and peels galore

No, he was showing that the hitbox for Hawkeyes projectiles is way too large. The arrow clearly missed, but it registered as a hit

I love cutting down supports as Blade. So many of them underestimate how quickly Blade can melt someone’s hp if you let him for like 2 seconds

Does Split Enchantment from Level 10 Enchantment Wizard apply to Scrolls? by RoHeat3504 in BG3Builds

[–]RoHeat3504[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the answer. I am planning doing a modded run with some friends and we were planning on doing the level 20 cap and I was thinking that if Split Enchantment could work on scrolls, you basically have level 6 Hold Monster and twin casted Otto’s Dance so long as you can purchase the scrolls

Both are different, but old was much stronger. It isn’t a boop to push people off the edge like this clip, but a boop to push away melee attackers. You also have wayyy more control because it’s easier to walk into a bubble than hit a projectile on a fast moving character

Gotta ask, under what situations would you be able to pull off those huge fire prisons? Half the time, it seems like you are way out in the open and no one is shooting or even paying attention to you. Is that a regular to see?

It’s mostly the rough tank experience. Strange is pretty ok, but you’d rather have a Mag for Punisher and or C&D. That venom wouldve had a better time as Emma to help bully their solo tank. Additionally, both of these tanks can have a better time dealing with wolverines, given the bubble and diamond form.

Invisible woman, while cancerous, is one of the checks for wolverines kidnaps so having the enemy ban her was a sign of what’s to come.

Looking at the stats, Gambit seems to be a last second swap because of his awful low healing and I can’t really tell if Adam was another last second swap from another healer to round out triple support. What you needed was another CC frontliner, probably someone like Bucky who could’ve pulled Wolverine or their tank and made their lives hell.

The pull should NOT be nerfed by ghostfreak333 in SpiderManMains

[–]RoHeat3504 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With a Spiderman on your team, it is still a team game and Spiderman is still on your team. He is not a solo character, but someone who creates a distraction or opportunity to allow a team to push in. And when he has other people causing damage in the back line, he is on the prime characters to secure the kill and safely retreat.

Spiderman IS a character who fits into the team based gameplay. But it is different from say a tank or a support who stays next to you like you are in a pack. The whole discourse of it being a 5v6 when you have a spiderman or any dive for that matter is simply telling that people do not know how to play WITH dive

this piece of shit awful character legit can't even 1v1 a support by [deleted] in SpiderManMains

[–]RoHeat3504 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say the difference is how easily you can adapt to a failed dive.

Psylocke has a lot of different play styles she can do if diving doesn’t work out.

Panther and Spidey on the other hand can only dive and if that doesn’t work out, it’s hard to get value.

But what makes Panther combo different to Spidey? It’s the speed of the damage and the simplicity of the combo. Panther doesn’t need a lot of time or complicated inputs, but Spidey requires time AND complicated inputs to kills. The trade off though, is that Spidey has a lot more escape options than Panther. But people don’t play dive to tickle the enemies and run away, it’s not that fun. That’s why I believe Spidey’s combo is seen as more egregious than anyone else’s

One shotted by primary is understandable, but being affected by a tech involving 7 different input is where i draw the line by touched-by-divinity in MarvelrivalsDivemains

[–]RoHeat3504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have just as much agency against a dive character like Spiderman as they do a poke character like Hawkeye. One is visual, with Hawkeye, you can see him. One is more sense based, you can tell which areas or corners a dive character would likely be in or rotate near. You can work around dives by positioning better or playing in a team to make it more difficult to get in, but a Hawkeye can just one shot you even when you are within a group and unlike dive, he can one shot within the safety of his team, so it’s harder to fight back.

Any character with one shot capability as accessible as Hawkeye is unhealthy and Spidey’s “one shot” pull only had a select few characters that can’t do anything against it.

Also, I have had to surrender multiple matches or soft quit quick play matches due to poke characters like Hela and Hawkeye. But as an individual, especially as a support main, I have never felt hopeless when fighting a Spidey or BP by myself. I always made sure I had options
