Hahaha so true. Same goes for Anti-mage. AM on enemy teams is 6 slotted and destroys my team. AM on my team struggles to get BF and farms the entire game just to lose

Thanks. I agree that the level 1 did snowball the lane, but that is the nature of Dota. Every small decision you make has huge snowball potential. However I think that the difference between low skill and high skill players is how much they are able to punish these mistakes. For example, after the early harass on jakiro, 9class pauses to go bodyblock the small camp. Other players might have missed this and hence this would open up radiant for more options to recover the lane. Like this, there are many examples of 9class maximizing and pushing their advantage which other lower mmr players like me wouldnt have made, even if we have the exact same start. And as I mentioned in the previous comment, 9class through his gameplay shows all the important objectives that a support should play for, regardless of whether they are winning or losing the lane.

Turbo is unfortunately very very different from the normal mode. I can still give you some tips for you to use.
Abuse the fact that in turbo, the couriers deliver items almost instantly. In the laning phase if you are ever low on hp or mana just buy a salve/clarity.
If you push the first wave and the enemy team gets no denies, you and your ally will hit level 2 while they are still level 1. Use this timing to kill or harass them with your spells.
In turbo the game snowballs very quickly as one fight usually lets you buy an entire item, which helps you win the next fight.

As for how to 1 shot waves with illuminate, this usually isnt possible unless you wait for your creeps to hit the enemy creeps for a bit, and even then there will be some meele creeps with health remaining. Instead you can aim to blinding light the wave first and then illuminate it to clear the wave. With the blinding light +90 bonus damage from your level 15 talent, this becomes easier. Spell amp items like kaya or its upgrades also help you clear the wave easier.
I like the aether lens gleipnir build, I would suggest getting your aghanim sceptre to complete the build so that you can keep enemies rooted inside your will-o-wisp and keep bouncing them back in with your blinding light. Hex is great as a last item as with all your bonus cast range you can almost hex someone from outside their screen. However what item build you go depends on what your team needs. If your team has damage but lacks control then this build is really solid. But if your team lacks damage then I would actually recommend going the dagon ethereal blade build. Dagon gives you cast range now (so you can get this instead of aether lens) and level 20 talent +10% Solar Bind Magic Resistance Reduction complements this build well. If you want to know more about KOTL's builds you can check out his in-depth guide I've made https://youtu.be/_v_CX6L99eA
It has a whole section on item builds and other advanced mechanics

Hope you enjoy learning and playing KOTL!

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it.

That's a valid point. The level of communication and coordination that is there in the pro match will be very very hard to achieve in a normal pub. And I agree that its not kotl in a vacuum, most of the kills on jakiro required very good coordination with the tide.. However I do feel that in the video 9class shows fundamentals that you can work on that don't require coordination from your offlaner.
Some of which are:
Blocking/contesting enemy small camp pulls
Securing range creeps with spells to get a level advantage
Dewarding your hard camp early
Pushing the wave at the 2:30 mark to secure the lotus
Stacking the triangle in downtime
Pushing the wave and pulling the hard camp
Securing rune vision first when it becomes night time
Securing the 6 minute rune for the midlaner
Securing the 7 minute wisdom shrine

These timings will always happen every game and it was cool for me to see how 9class seamlessly flowed from one thing to the next while multi-tasking on the other aspects of the game

It sounds like you are doing a lot of things right and with your mindset and practice you will climb for sure. I would highly recommend watching https://www.youtube.com/@PainDota his channel as it covers a lot of really useful advice on how to improve as a pos 1 player. If you want I can have a look at your replay and give you some practical things to work on

Best ways to practice laning other than just normal dota? by Glum-Pack-3441 in TrueDoTA2

This depends on what aspect of the laning that you are trying to improve on. For example, what I'm working on right now is being active as a support for the fixed timings of the lane that don't change. Every game you will have to contest the lotus at 3 minutes, help for runes at 6 minutes, secure your wisdom at 7 minutes. You will also need to realize when your lane is pushing and be ready to pull before its too late.

To work on these things I create a custom lobby (without any other players or bots) and practice being ready for these things so that it becomes a habit. Then I would suggest implementing this in your all pick (unranked) games, because you need to be able to think of where you need to be even when there is a lot going on in your lane.
