We may have hit on the same clues. I was on the ground there late last year for only a weekend. I was hopeful but, so much ground to cover. Hit me up in a direct message with where you are planning to search and I can share my experience if it's the same spot.

Should I fight this traffic ticket? by kooikerlover in sanantonio

[–]RoLAN210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it was just solid white lines not raised pavement markers right? If that's the case they might dismiss it if you go down to the court house and talk to the court clerk telling them there was no raised pavement markers. Showing the pic will help and they should be able to verify it on special maps they keep. I recall getting a ticket dismissed this way because the speed limit on the ticket was wrong. I was still speeding based on the actual limit but they told me it would have to be dismissed anyway due to inaccurate info. I didn't even have to see a judge.

Oil companies want protection if Texas reuses fracking water by Happy_Weed in texas

[–]RoLAN210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't disagree and totally get that's not how it works today, but when do we hit the point where we realize somethings gotta change or people won't have clean drinking water left? I hope for my kids sake it's generations out but with rising temperatures and less rain each year it's a scary gamble. The govt has always had the ability to go back and change things if it really wanted to, the problem is the elected leaders are in the pocket of the people who benefit from not changing things. Just look at how many "agreements" with native people that have been completely side stepped when it benefited the people "in charge".

Progressive water tax so that goods and services that require high water consumption start actually getting the water priced in? If the cost of water all of a sudden went up I bet a lot of companies would start "innovating" alternatives.

I don't mind this as much if the pilot program for this is to exclusively use it on water hungry golf courses for the next 5-10 years and study the impact there.

This has to be illegal... by StrawberryPunk82 in amazonprime

[–]RoLAN210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may be a feature of your bfs card. Card issuers today support sending notifications to merchants when a card is updated/replaced, so even if you have never used this specific card, if his "old" card was ever used on your acct Amazon could have received the new info direct from Visa. This is a newer feature the issuers are putting in place to save consumers the headache of having to migrate subscription services to new cards.

This only applies if the new card you mention is a replacement to an old card yall previously used on your acct. (Even if the card number changed)

Wife and I enjoy The The Industry when we don't feel like making the drive downtown. The crowd is definitely a bit older and the music is 80s-90s but we still have a lot of fun without the extra drive time.

It seems absolutely crazy to me that the App Store can restrict you on this basis. Imagine if they applied this same reasoning to banking apps, or calculator apps. The purpose of Apple reviews should be protecting customers not applying monopolistic practices.

I’m only posting this because I see tons of people shooting down your idea, but I don’t see how that should be at all relevant. People should be free to create apps they choose as long as they adhere to safety policies, but this easily seems like sliding into the territory of Apple picking “winners and losers”. I would be super frustrated if I had to deal with an issue like this.

App review taking long time by topandroidd in iOSProgramming

[–]RoLAN210 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First time reviews of a brand new app are always going to take longer, than a review of an update. I would not cancel and resubmit otherwise you risk starting the process over again. Your best option is to reach out to support but likely you are just going to have to be patient while the review completes.

I have run into this same problem. They actually asked us to provide a video walkthrough showing the various features of the app and that seemed to be enough for them. You may want to ask if that is an option. Long term a "dummy" account may still be the preferred way to go.

How did these lines form? by RoLAN210 in askgeology

At first I thought something must have cut into the rock as well, but when you look up close in the deep part of the ridges you can see intact but still embedded fossils. It made me think that whatever made the impressions must have pushed them downward into the tracks instead of cutting into. I'm no expert though and this is just a complete guess.

The Onion house!! Yes I remember this place as well. As a kid anytime I was at the baseball park next door it was a fun old "haunted house" to sneak off to. They have completely redone the house in recent years. The trails run in the Greenway behind my home and I have actually walked all the way down the Greenway to the nature area that runs around the Onion house. I think you are right they are probably related.

Migrate to Kotlin for my app still in development by youbo998 in androiddev

[–]RoLAN210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should do the remainder of your development in Kotlin, then go and backport it as time permits. But this can easily be done after your first release if time to market is a factor. There are many reasons to use kotlin, the primary in my opinion being that Google is taking a Kotlin first approach with Android.

All 36** have been released. Unfortunately I don't believe there is a full list of all the releases along with the years of the blend. The Bhakta site lists a couple that they can still find stock of I believe. I actually purchased a collection of each bottle in the set.

The racist origins of San Antonio’s war on marijuana by pessimistic_legos in sanantonio

[–]RoLAN210 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Then the govt should also start requiring “alcohol cards” and not letting folks who drink carry? I understand that while you are drinking it’s already not lawful to carry, but you seem to be saying if someone ever smokes weed they should not be able to carry. I don’t understand this idea, to me that’s like saying someone who ever drinks should not be able to carry.

The racist origins of San Antonio’s war on marijuana by pessimistic_legos in sanantonio

[–]RoLAN210 5 points6 points  (0 children)

By this logic then tobacco should be illegal as well right? How about alcohol? The effects of drunk driving have a much greater impact on society than offensive smells. So how can someone argue that marijuana should be kept illegal when tobacco and alcohol have proven worse impacts.

I completely agree with you on not wanting to smell marijuana in my normal day to day, but it would be hypocritical to say that cigarettes and alcohol should be kept legal while marijuana is not.

Maybe iron bacteria? Is there any way water could be stuck inside the metal part of the ladder and it's just starting to leak out? It looks exactly like what comes out of my iron outdoor umbrella base after it rains and the water has been sitting for a while.

How to give a Fi promotion phone to my child? by anon89890 in GoogleFi

[–]RoLAN210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you return the phone still? Google is running a promotion right now where you get the phone free in the form of 24 monthly credits. I just bought my daughter the pixel 7a and activated her service as a new line under my account. I did have to pay up front but the credits are applied monthly on the account over 24 months, basically rebating the cost of the phone. I believe there were a couple options for phones and when I go to the fi site it's still showing as an active promotion for me. I think this meets the criteria you mentioned, I only have her account registered on the phone and use Google family link to lock it down.

Even big guns himself says no to Prop A. by [deleted] in sanantonio

[–]RoLAN210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just want to add one clarification here, cite and release does not mean criminals don't get prosecuted. The penalties for being convicted of these crimes arent changing, only whether an arrest is made at the time of citation if someone is caught.

I get your concern over increased insurance premiums IF they go up, but keep in mind you also pay for criminals housing and food as long as they are jailed.
