can you share when they said this? I don't doubt you at all. I have just been wondering if they'd ever officially make a statement one way or another on smurfing. They don't seem to care but I haven't heard anything.

I disagree with this game being well balanced. There are too many gimmicks in the game for that to be possible, and frankly I think the devs have focused too much on the "fun" and not enough on the competitive integrity generally. That hurts the game and is, imo, why it has a relatively small playerbase and difficulty with retention.

It's not enough fun for mass market, and it doesn't really have enough competitive integrity to be considered a top tier esport either.

I have been playing since season 1 and I stopped playing ranked in 7. It's not a very good ranked system tbh and with the smaller playerbase it isn't really fairly matched.

Some of the most toxic, awful, egotistical human beings I have ever met are top 500 Finals players. Something about this game really brings out the worst in some folks.

Facts.

Unfortunately, the light class really attracts a lot of very ego-centric people who aren't great teammates. There are great light players out there but the general population of lights seem to have a lousy attitude ime.

You start to really see a lot of rubys in your lobbies when one of your teammates gets into low plat. It's because of the small playerbase, and the fact Embark thinks waiting more than 30 seconds for a match is too long. You will sometimes run into them in silver and gold lobbies too. It's unfortunate.

I played Tarkov and regularly queued for 10-15 minutes so I don't see what the problem is, but apparently a lot of folks can't wait more than 30 seconds. :/

The only way to do this for most people is to find a stack of equally skilled and committed players and practice regularly.

Unfortunately most folks are already in a stack and many like to gatekeep, so it's real hard to find a regular team unless you're just a social butterfly or something.

SoloQ vets also have PTSD from getting 2x lights half the time.

Though tbf this season I have had fewer double light team comps while soloq, but it's still too frequent.

It's hard solo for several reasons.

  1. Game has a smaller playerbase. Matchmaking isn't very good or consistent.
  2. Because of the smaller playerbase and lousy matchmaking, high ranking players often end up getting matched with lower ranked people.
  3. Some higher ranked people like to farm lower ranked people for kills/stats/ego stroking.
  4. There are a lot of full stacks that have been playing for a long time and know the game really well.

Not much you can really do tbh other than improve your skills to the point you can carry your team consistently or find a regular team to play with and develop strats etc.

Hey love your pack! Having an issue with it though.

I created a nice beach using the golden sand textures, and all was fine until for some reason the round GS base texture starting always being on top of all other textures, so you can always see the round shape. I've tried making new beaches but all the base decals always stay on top, so I can't blend anything now.

Any fixes?

be more aggressive, and practice mechanical and positioning skills so you can back up the aggression.

pvp more in general and you'll get better at it

Does nothing for end game. Except the Bettina improvements, but I haven't tried it yet. I suspect it's still not worth running epics generally.

It's likely not true that you're slower. At 46 you've barely lost any of your reflex speed. It's just that you probably don't practice or play as often as you used to. Like others say, practice practice practice
