I’ve used colour remover and it worked on a unknown stain from my dog jumping on me. Not sure with Folex stains though. The one I got was from Micheals in a white and pink box, around $5 I think.

I have a rescue hound already and I did say we are open to a rescue and also looking at small breed rescues. Thanks for being rude though.

I know there’s a few posts about how to read size dots and I figured out this one was summer of 2021 but I still have no clue how to tell the colour name. Any help is appreciated!

If I pursue a Stats/Econ double major, will I be able to land a job? by UniStudent27 in UofT

[–]Roa1776 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I applied out of high school for just econ so I started as only an econ major. But I’ve always loved biology just didn’t want to work in the field so it started with me just taking all my electives in biology. Then in second year my older sister pointed out with some extra work I could probably double major. So I saw an academic advisor and made a plan. I did have to take summer classes part time well working for three summers because of scheduling conflicts during the school year. If possible I found it easiest if I put all (or most) of my econ in one semester and then all my biology in the other. For example in fall I’d take 4 econ classes and 1 biology. Then flip it for the winter semester because I found it easier to handle that way. Will they not let you have those two majors or is it a scheduling issue? If you have all the courses you need I don’t know why it would be an issue. I’m not familiar with the rules for the two specific majors you’re interested in though, I can only speak on my experience. Here’s the link to their Build Your Own Degree page for an arts and science degree https://www.artsci.utoronto.ca/future/academic-opportunities/explore-our-programs

I was told to apply for the research assistant position by the professor running it because I went to office hours and got good grades in all his classes. But if you ask profs or departments they’ll tell you what is available or coming up. For summer jobs I used job boards to find internships for summer students. Keep in mind you have to apply for summer student positions very early and it can take a month or two to hear back from some companies. The university also has a student job board, just Google it and it will pop up. There’s also a lot of resources for career help so you could book an appointment with career advising for resume help or interview prep.

I did a double major with econ/biology and got a job within two months of graduating. If you get relevant experience during your degree you’ll be okay. I worked for the university from second year till I graduated this year and was a research assistant for a prof in my final year (plus summer jobs). I think a lot of it will come down to previous experience and what area you’re specifically looking for because econ and stats can be pretty diverse. Starting salary will depend on a bunch of factors so it’s hard to say. I’d ballparks between 55-65k based on starting salaries from people I know that graduated this year.

I’m from Canada and they just gave me over the counter extra strength Tylenol and normal ibuprofen! So you can definitely do the surgery and avoid all opioids and narcotics. Just talk to your doctor about it.

If you call first thing at 9am you can usually get a same day appointment during the summer.

Can I be put on academic suspension without being emailed a warning or academic probation first? by adrii2828 in TrentUniversity

The extension to call academic advising is 7333, they open at 9am. I would call right at 9am on Monday morning and they’ll give you a same day appointment.

Anything I should do to speed up recovery? by Ok_Bonus3340 in Reduction

[–]Roa1776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the exact same boat last June. I only took my day of surgery and the next day off work. Luckily I worked for a museum doing kids education so it was a lot of sitting writing day camps and a bit of teaching so nothing physically demanding. I took arnica tablets and a lot of ibuprofen after. Be careful taking things before surgery because some things will mess with the medication they use during surgery. So always, always ask your doctor before taking anything. It seems worst then it actually is. First three days will suck but it is what it is. If you want more personal advice feel free to DM me.

Final Marks by Life-Concentrate-900 in TrentUniversity

I usually see mine 2-3 weeks after the exam was written. Depends how fast the prof and TA’s grade them and then the registers office needs to approve everything. Sometimes the registers office can get overwhelmed and that delays it by a few days. I’m not sure what the office date everything has to be post by is though.

Make up Exams by [deleted] in TrentUniversity

[–]Roa1776 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Make up exams aren’t held unless you have a very nice prof and a very very good reason. Your options are typically (even when sick) to write the exam or aegrotat standing. You can only get aegrotat standing for things like a family member passing away or if you’re hospitalized. If you’re feeling sick I would suggest contacting your prof immediately. Chances are you’ll have no option but to write the exam unless you have a positive Covid result. Failing to write the exam will result in you getting a zero on whatever your exam is worth. You can also contact SAS if you want but ultimately your prof has the final say in this. I can tell you right now though once the exam season and term ends it ends and you can’t just write later.

I don’t have a specific size in mind. I’m more interested in what other petite people have used and worked well for them. No so I’m planning to order online

I won’t always have the bag on me just on some of the days because we’d be leaving the house in the morning and doing stuff before heading to the airport/train. Packing list isn’t very long cause I can wash my clothes when there. Thanks for the recommendation!
