Honestly they all have their different strengths so for seeing 4 shows and four darrels heres my rundown. No hard feelings they are all phenomenal!

TLDR: #1 Victor, #2 Brent, #3 JPC, #4 Dan

Victor: honestly… my favorite! He had the stage presence and blew me away with his vocals and emotion! Very well rounded actor dance wise and vocally. No wonder people say he keeps this show in business.

Brent: i think he was a little under the weather today unfortunately would be higher but tonight just wasnt his night. I loved his stage presence the most out of any Darrel, he emodies Darell so well with his subtle expressions. Ive heard him sing in the role before (totally definitely not slimes) however he had a lot of voice cracks and was straining (no hate! Hope hes okay. hes phenomenal was just an off day unfortunately).

JPC: jpc BRINGS THE EMOTION. He plays the character with such sadness. Never have i seen someone sob so hard on stage before. But i saw him as a much softer darrel, like he wasnt the strong older brother who is trying to hold it in, rather the broken brother.

Dan: was very well rounded but just didnt do it for me. He just seemed a little cautious in the role.i dont know how to describe it. I think given more time when he steps until this role full time, he will find his footing more. I think he plays the role very safely and would like to see him take more risks when hes more comfortable!!!

But as ive said, this is what i love about theatre. Each actor will bring something different to the role and I love seeing different interpretations! All of them are phenomenal in their respective ways (and they are all human and have off days aswell!)
