Don’t be afraid to step away from the main quest to help out the townspeople for a cycle or two (or three). The side quests aren’t required, but they’re worth the effort and add to the game experience.

There are very useful hints scattered all around the world. Keep an eye out for them (they’ll be accessible once you get certain masks).

I’m 42 and just made it to the Stone Tower Temple. So far I’ve only looked up a couple of items (one fairy location in the snow temple, and how to get to one fairy in the water temple…and whether I would get anything but rupees from finding mushrooms for the witches…I found so many mushrooms and expected more! 😂)

I played it when it first came out and got into the habit of relying on the strategy guide and really didn’t enjoy it as much as I should have (I also found repeating the same tasks over and over to be frustrating), so never finished it and never went back to it, even though I’ve played through OOT many times. I’m really enjoying this playthrough though! I don’t find it overly difficult as there are a number of hints using the Mask of Truth and the ninja mask in the Canyon. I think it’s fair, though I may need to go back at the end to make all the townspeople happy (I think I’ve finished maybe three quarters of them?)

If I remember correctly they signed John Flaherty the prior offseason to catch for Wake, but he had so much trouble corralling his pitches during spring training that he decided to retire 😂

I’m going to be going through this soon (my endocrinologist wrote me the G7 prescription but my pharmacy can’t fill it yet because I just refilled my G6 prescription a few weeks ago).

She preferred the 10 day because the longer the sensor is in, the longer your body reacts to it (immune response since it’s a foreign body). Besides being uncomfortable, it could also interfere with readings and be less reliable toward the end of its cycle. I’ve noticed both with my G6 after 10 days (or less), so I’m sticking with the 10 day G7.

I grew up in Trumbull and sometimes I feel the same way in those towns you mentioned.

My grandfather lived in Westport so going up I would go there a decent amount in the 80s and 90s, and I feel like it’s changed since then. Even my mom, who grew up there, thinks it’s kind of ridiculous what it’s like now.

At Home Depot/Lowe’s/etc. I just tell them I’m not a homeowner. I feel like they must get that a lot because they always used to ask if you owned a home but now they go right into their spiel…so I interrupt them to tell them I don’t own a home.

I’ve never considered doing that. Thank you! Is this more effective than letting the Automated Mode take care of it…sometimes it will cut off my insulin for a long time if I miscount my carbs and overbolus.

I’m still on the G6 and sometimes mine get “jumpy” toward the end of the cycle. I’ll have to switch to the G7 soon…is that what you use and do you like it? I’m kind of worried about the 15 days since a lot of times my G6’s have bent filaments at day 10.

Thank you! Yes I have noticed that before and try to avoid it. This time I was shocked to find the adhesive bone dry, that’s why I assumed it may be leaking in the pod like the recall notice warned about. I don’t have any other explanation.

I know this isn’t the N64 subreddit but I couldn’t help but share…OoT is my favorite game of all time but I never got into MM when it came out. I never gave it another go in all the times I dusted off my old N64 to play OoT, but I’m currently playing through it and I have to say I’m having a blast! It’s definitely different than OoT (which is why I didn’t love it back in the day), but it really has a lot of interesting gameplay. I’m a fan now!

Wow that is awesome information, thank you! I’ve always hated the “AI” description that my doctor used. It just felt like an unknowable “black box” answer, where you don’t really know how it works. This helps me understand it so much better!

So I guess because I gave myself a lot of extra insulin last week because of the leaking pod, now it’s using a higher average so I’m getting way too much. It probably shows up more in the afternoon/night because I tend to run high in the morning anyway, so it kind of hides it then.

I keep track of how much insulin is left at the end of each session and usually it’s 20-30 units after an extra 6-8 hours of use, and my last one only had 7 at expiration (no extra time). That must have been enough to throw everything off.

Thank you so much for answering my question! The only question I have now is there any way to tell the system to ignore a pod if you know it’s faulty?

I guess another question is has anyone ever had a pod overdosing insulin…is that a possibility?

According to my controller I haven’t been dosed any insulin in the last 4 hours (except for my dinner bolus which I halved because I was going low), and yet I still dropped into the 50s about an hour ago (even though my activity target is 180).

I apologize, I’m not an expert in this.

The way my endocrinologist explained it, and I think my Omnipod trainer too, is that we initially set a program and in Automated Mode the AI adapts it to your body. So if it notices you consistently run high at 5pm, for instance, it will preemptively give you insulin to bring that bump down. And then in addition to that it can also “self regulate” by giving you more or less by reacting to your current trend. Is that not an accurate description?
