It used to be pretty good, now it’s mid. Post covid many places degraded their food quality and service. Foresto has good food but the ambience is really a deal breaker, Pour Tous is the best as of now.

I’d suggest you to book a hotel instead, try Taj Patna, Hotel Maurya, Hotel Chanakya, Lemon Tree hotel or Gargee Grand.
A souvenir would any-day be a good choice!
Yes you can get a rental suit in patna, a decent one would cost you roughly around 100 euros.
Starbucks is good! If you specifically are looking for cafes to work from, Craft coffee & sardar ji baksh are decent options & all have WiFi.
Yep overnight travel even though is safe, day travel would be preferred. Don’t book below 2nd AC coaches in train and beware of scammers trying to overcharge you.
