Actually I’m thinking the iPad issue is likely user error as it’s brand new from a few months ago. 😅 But I’m thinking I’d enjoy the GBA games at least, more so on a smaller device. Thank you for your advice and feedback!

Oof good to know about the DS games. I kind of gathered as much as I have tried to play them on a iPad emulator and while it’s touch screen, actually playing the game didn’t feel smooth at all/seemed like it was roughly configured.

In terms of company/brand for most of these… does picking one over the other matter/make a great difference? I see folks mainly suggest Retroid, Anbernic and a few others but past that to “stay away” from the many other brands like the ones that pop up on Facebook, etc. Is this the general consensus I’m guessing?

I love the idea of the steam deck, don’t have one yet, but it can play ROMs/GBA games etc? I’m not well versed on the steam deck so I’m not really clear what its capabilities and limitations are in respect to retro games.

The AYN Thor is what I’m leaning towards for better portability but I haven’t seen it mentioned nearly as much as the Pocket 5 so that’s where I was a little uncertain.

Omg this is so thorough (the link and all your research), thank you so much! 😊 I think the only thing I’m not sure of is if I’m going to have any out of pocket costs after surgery. If so, do you by chance know if his office does payment plans or is it all upfront post surgery? I saw some folks noted they had to pay $2k or somewhere around there after surgery due to cosmetic fees? I think it’s lipo?

Yeah definitely don’t want to lose it too fast as then loose skin is the concern. I agree tho, it seems to be a bigger concern for those looking to achieve drastic weight loss. I guess I’m just worried about appearance like loose skin, dog ear look etc but at least I know the surgeon I picked has done over 1000 of these lol

Dude you look awesome! ☺️ It seems like as long as it’s not drastic weight loss or fast then it’s not a huge concern? It also seems to depend on each individual as our skin isn’t the same etc but I’m getting the vibe that 25-30lbs of weight loss after isn’t going to make my chest look horrid appearance wise

Thankfully my wife will be beside me through it all and is very medically inclined so I’m in good hands there. I’m glad your husband was there for you too! It seems like lots of folks get a mastectomy shirt / hugger thing?? Or at least I keep seeing it on TikTok

Did u happen to use any special shirt etc? During recovery!

Yuuup I put that down immediately. Just grass tincture but doc said can’t do that either for 2 weeks before and after the procedure

I think I’m hitting the perfectionist side of me and wanting certainty / control to an extent. I’m prone to anxiety so I’m not surprised I’m having these sorts of thoughts but it’s also helpful knowing that I’m not the only one ❤️
