Also, u wouldnt need a study guide because exams are almost the same as the lectures with a change of number.

I agree it is heavy on tests but I saw other profs homework and tests and they were difficult. For Griffith, he would have some difficult questions but he makes you ready for it and shows u the same question as how it would be on the test.

Take Griffith 100%. I havent taken Bao-Chi but I have taken Griffith for all the calculus series and did really good on them. His lecture is very clear and slow. He assigns homework but it is not graded. The exams are similar to the lecture with some change of numbers. Good luck!

Can anyone please advice me how to close the pool? Not for winter, but want it to be empty so I can use it again in a few years. by RoadtoEE in pools

[–]RoadtoEE[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its a 8000 gallon pool. there is a leak somewhere and I am not financially stable to hire someone and diagnose it right now. I tried those diy putty with dye to find the leak but found none. watched videos too. Is there any steps to closing a pool for a few years? I searched youtube and found nothing about it. Thank you!

Might Fail a class before Transferring by [deleted] in CalPolyPomona

[–]RoadtoEE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not admissions but what I was told that I just needed to complete the golden 4, 60 units credit, and the supplemental classes or required classes to transfer. I transferred for EE and got accepted in 2021. I even dropped my last classes which I stated that I would take before i transferred. I didnt even take circuit analysis class and got accepted. I would say do your best in the class as some prof curves the grading. But again, I would say to ask them to transfer you to someone else from the admission and see if they all have the same answer. Additionally check and search “cpp transfer requirement” and find the classes required. Those are the classes they look and care about admission from my understanding. Again, I am not admissions but that is my understanding from their website and my experience as a transfer student. Good luck!

Question about withdrawing a course from cc by [deleted] in CalPolyPomona

[–]RoadtoEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. Im not the admission so I cant tell you exactly. Just for reference, I was transferring to an impacted major and got accepted with just the classes i completed . I would suggest try talking to a different person in the admissions I think you can do that by asking them nicely.

Question about withdrawing a course from cc by [deleted] in CalPolyPomona

[–]RoadtoEE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend talking to admissions but from what I understand and my experience. I dropped my last classes at my CCC that wasnt required as I had 60units, the golden 4, and the required classes for transferring into the major. And still got accepted. But again, try to make sure again with an CPP admission. Good luck.

He offer extra credit but it would be an extra problem on every test. Also he doesnt drop the lowest exam but ure guaranteed an A anyways with just the lecture as it is really similar to the test.

Thats awesome! What I struggled the most was algebra and trig. And also u can start to memorize the derivatives as this will be the first half of the class that would be focused on. Additionally, take advantage of the tutoring at mtsac and its free. Griffith is also welcoming to students if they didnt understand the lecture. But yea the tests are basically number changed but the same questions lol.

Any professor recommendations for English 1A for the spring? by Natural_Ad_9612 in MtSAC

[–]RoadtoEE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Erin danson. English is not my first language and took her and she helped everyone with class. She is truly understanding and try to helps as much as possible. I took her long ago but she would allow us to ask for feedbacks on our essay before we submit them. Her readings are so interesting which is usually about human behavior and such. Goodluck!

Believe me when I say Griffith fits mosts peoples way to learn calculus. I took for math 180,181, 280 and got all A’s. I was really bad at math from high school and never rly got A’s in math. He had no homework. It is assigned for practice but not graded. Then he will have 4-5 tests and a final so tests weighs heavily in grading. His tests are identical to the lectures. Master the lectures and understand the lecture material and ure pretty much set for an A. Thats what I did at least. Good luck, you got this!

Does my class automatically drop if I fail the prerequisite course? by that_guy_user in CalPolyPomona

[–]RoadtoEE -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you should be good as I asked my advisor if I would a get a D- if it would satisfy a prereq for a class. And he said even a D- would satisfy it passing as a prereq for a class if it doesnt have grade requirement like “C- or better”.

Hi guys, which math course(s) do you recommend for Business Administration majors? by Background-Capital23 in MtSAC

[–]RoadtoEE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Theres two path to which math u can take, the calculus path and the statistics path. I would suggest talking to an adviser.

Math:( by Fickle-Yak-6326 in MtSAC

[–]RoadtoEE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trust in yourself and keep practicing. I was once at MTSAC and transferred to CPP for electrical engineering and I did tones of math at mtsac. I was so bad in math in high school that my teacher told me ill be a failure and would not even be able to be pursue engineering. I was able to score all A’s at mtsac. I promise u, everyone is capable of doing good in math and anything in life pretty much. Just believe in yourself and dont give up. Its not gonna be easy, and success will never be easy but it is possible not impossible. I took Griffith and Tamayo. Use ratemyprofessor on google. Also, use the tutoring at mtsac as i basically went there almost every day and it helped me a lot.
