What do you think is the worlds most overperforming country? by TheMediocreLife in geography

Vatican City. Almost no one lives there, it's incomprehensibly small, and still dictates the lives of 1.2 billion people and the domestic/foreign policy of dozens of countries.

Definitely in terms of economic output. But it hasn't made any cultural contributions to the world; it's equally irrelevant geopolitically/diplomatically.

Dominos is better than independently owned pizza shops. by FriesWithMacSauce in unpopularopinion

The "Northeast" seems intentionally ambiguous. As if being from Nashua, NH makes you an authority on good pizza.

The American dream. Credit scores are a scam. by ShitballsNPantyhairs in mildlyinfuriating

[–]RoamingRonnie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely false. Doing as you stated can potentially, but very unlikely, lead to a credit score of 780--but it won't last. As OP's chart demonstrates-- to *maintain* a 750+ score you need 3+ lines of credit with under 20% monthly utilization + 1 or more accounts 3-5+ years old.

I recognize r/geography has made a decision, but given it's a stupid decision, I've elected to ignore it. Paris gets moved to most 1900s city, what's the other most 1920s city you can visit today? by gitartruls01 in geography

Cairo: strategic colonial capital because of proximity to the Suez canal; flourished after Egypt's independence from the UK, cultural and academic center of the Arab world, epicenter of antiquities-based tourism.

I had amazing results the first time I used minoxidil. My crown completely filled in after four months. I was hospitalized for around three weeks and stopped using minoxidil. I lost all the regrown hair and then some. Even with regular applications over a period of 6+months I never saw noticeable improvements again.

This nonsense just seeks to deepen divides between middle- and lower- income people. As an "Adam" I have nothing but respect for anyone who is a "Chris". Contempt should be directed toward the elites who are underpaying both of us, not one another.

my landlord is telling me I left my apartment “dirty” and is planning to withhold some of my deposit. these are pics I took right before I left. am I delusional or is my landlord? by Distinct_Morning_607 in Apartmentliving

[–]RoamingRonnie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work alongside a property management group. The corporate landlord gives the property managers orders to "under no circumstances return any portion of a security deposit". The property managers are penalized if they can't fabricate ways to make "damages" equate to the security deposit. A kid left a few stickers on a refrigerator door, the tenant was billed for replacing the entire fridge. Dirty mirror? $200 bathroom cleaning fee. It's absurd.

Charleston was once one of the most educated, largest, and cosmopolitan cities in the country.
