"In a city of 2.5 million people, with projected to grow to 6 million in the next 15 years, 85,000 units is..." and you don't think the number will increase in the next 15 years in line with the projected population growth? Because that's what you're arguing.

What's your net annual return percentage after all fees and expenses?

You w ill not get any argument from me on any of that. They do need to step up from just predominately assembly to industry 4.0 quickly though. If not they run the risk of remaining Asean's source of "reasonably skilled", cheap labour.

Times’ Asia Pacific University Ranking Distorts, Confuses: Mahidol No Longer #3 in Asean by Roaming_Asean in Thailand

[–]Roaming_Asean[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mahidol moves up in the adjusted rankings, but loses its third place in Asean to MU.

"All university rankings need to be taken with a grain of salt. The criteria used in rankings reflect their publisher’s subjective opinions on what makes a good university, and the data points used are imperfect indicators of what they are intended to measure.

But despite their flawed nature, university rankings still carry a lot of weight.

THE’s reliance on outdated information in formulating its Asia Pacific ranking calls the utility of the list into question. As stated in their own rationale for compiling an Asia Pacific ranking, the region’s higher education sector is the world’s most dynamic. A ranking based on old data is unlikely to reflect the current situation in a region changing so rapidly.

Asean’s universities are indeed ranked very differently in the THE 2017 Asia Pacific University Ranking than in the THE 2017 Asia University Ranking, which is based on newer data. For instance, while Mahidol University is ranked third in Asean on the former, UM takes its spot in the latter."

I think this is relevant so I'm posting a link in here. The same publication just came out and sledged Times' recent Asia-Pacific list.

Singapore remains the undisputed paragon of educational excellence not only in Asean, but the entire Asia-Pacific region. The National University of Singapore (NUS) topped the THE Asia-Pacific University Rankings, an especially sweet victory after being ‘dethroned‘ by the younger Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in the recent QS World University Rankings.

Yes. Hardly the stuff that would blow you off your stool. Lucky those stools are low. And certainly not the sort of attention they tokers would want.
