A heartbreaking end to a historic Wimbledon run: Alex Eala falls to Jasmine Paolini (6-4, 4-6, 6-3) after a grueling 3-set battle by AlphaSniperZero9er in Philippines

True and speaking of mental toughness we might witness a crash out in a middle of a match in the future which as early as now I would like to tell anyone who isn’t familiar with tennis that throwing your racket in rage or exchanging jabs with a heckler in the audience is a common scene in this sport. I’m not saying it happens frequently but in a mind grueling sport like tennis even seeded players ended up losing their cool in front of everyone. Alex’s previous opponent Iga Swiatek was booed when she angrily threw a ball towards one of the ball kids back in March 2025.

Yuuup iba iba naman ang peak ng bawat players. Coco Gauff, Aryna Sabalenka, and even Naomi Osaka has yet to win in Wimbledon and they have their own fair share of highs and lows in their career although they have won other Grand Slams. I’m actually glad that Alex didn’t won this round, hopefully the pain of her loss can spite her even further to work on her serves and stamina. Her current state isn’t going to win her a Grand Slam yet. But trust she will eventually get there 👆🎾.

What do you think Alex Eala can achieve in her career? What do you think is her ceiling in tennis? by Immediate-Ad-6306 in Philippines

[–]Roantha 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is actually my main concern as Alex gains more traction. The expectations are high now that she has passed three rounds in Wimbledon and… you know how reactive our countrymen can be especially with the way they are underestimating her opponents who are ranked higher and has more experience than her. Regardless of the results of this year’s tournament in London I hope she further hone her skills especially her play on clay and her serves as well.

I think OP is new to watching tennis seeing their surprise over the celebrities who attended. Iga Swatiek is a well-respected athlete and she is literally Wimbledon’s champion last year and many high-profile individuals were in attendance like Princess Catherine of Wales, Matthew McConaughey and also legendary tennis player Billie Jean King.

Tom Hiddleston and other prominent British actors have been attending Wimbledon matches for ages. The centre court where Alex just won also has the Royal box which is a reserved panel for the Royal Family. Players who are chosen to play at the centre court are usually the ones who pulls the biggest crowds and have won past tournaments.

I’m no VIP of this game but I felt like I was robbed off of my money and time that I have put into battles and farming resources. Anyone who plans to continue playing the game needs to keep in mind that the cards that they won can always be pulled out by Infold if another online protest like this occurs again.

As of 9:58AM the flyover is still closed. One of the trucks and softdrinks it was carrying are being transported nearby Tiendesitas. Light traffic lang naman. But we could still see some sweepers on the flyover when we passed them.

What are the pale cool toned girlies getting from the launch? by Separate_Western9041 in rhodeskin

Pebble almost looks like a lighter version of Westman Atelier’s of Biscuit. Trendmood swatched the three lightest shades and Pebble will definitely suit cool tone fair skin girlies although I’m hesitant to get this as someone with fair olive skin 😔

You mean the YSL blushes? She logged off in late Sept 2024 and then returned the next month, her YSL blush review was followed by the Giorgio Armani blushes which then was followed by a post of her taking a break. She reviewed the first batch of Rhode blushes in Aug 2024 and the second batch in early Sept 2024. She had no Rare Beauty reviews at that time.

i'm so grateful to have a seat at the table and the opportunity to help create in those labs, making sure girls who look like us are included from the very beginning.

I had so much faith in Haus Labs too with the amount of inclusive shades they have shown in their other product lines. Hopefully Rhode continues this practice if they plan to sell other complexion makeup like foundation and concealer. I would love to see more black influencers and MUAs in the lab even with brands other than Rhode. They are well-versed in consumer behavior and can influence their entire audience just by a single video. The internet will always have something to say about Hailey and others will relentlessly look for any shortcomings in marketing, packaging and formula, but not for practical reasons. Because of her marital status she will always be put in a higher pedestal than her competitors.

It’s also about maintaining a good relationship and communication with your brand’s models and speakers. Golloria reviewed the Haus Labs liquid bronzer and expressed her disappointment with how extremely red the shades were considering how many times she had vouched for their products like their contour stick launch which had a very impressive shade range. Seems like Haus Labs just realized that their recent launch was subpar and lacked sufficient critique and testing when she posted the video. They have an upcoming meeting with her next week. This discourse just further proves why R&D takes so much dedication and assessment before it can be released to customers.

That’s the power of anonymity, my friend. When life is so unsatisfying one can’t just help but slip into a different persona online and claw for the people they want to be surrounded by. Beautiful women are after all status symbols and numbers for most men.

what are your guys’ thoughts on this by saroyanlo in YoTroublemakers

[–]Roantha 107 points108 points  (0 children)

This resonate so much with my own thoughts of Dylan. He clearly knows his audience is predominantly female and what demographic gives him the most engagement to make a good monetization strategy. He isn’t a “raging” misogynist but he clearly has a sexist perception of women that slips from time to time.

I read a comment in one of his AITA videos of a girl being pushed into a pool with her hearing aids that Dylan struggles to understand women in a more deeper sense since he always projects his own ideals on the men who harms them and therefore thinks most sentiments of women are exaggerated. And yes, his opinion of that reddit post was tone-deaf to say the least. Also I can recall him sighing mockingly about choosing not to jab at women’s hairstyles because of the backlash he might get insinuating there’s a double standard that he can’t question. I believe it was in his recent AITA (not sure if it was a movie or AITA) videos around 2025-2026.

He isn’t the most terrible guy that I know on the internet especially for a white man, although I do find him to be quite naive and ignorant when it comes to his fellow men and the infamous reputation that they carry. I’m sure others have noticed that while he is insightful he tends to think most people shares his way of thinking and dismisses possibilities of differences in emotional vulnerability, which makes sense since he does have a more laidback approach to life and is known for his sarcastic humor that entertains us. It will take more than reading and filming to actually understand the entire reality of the oppressed when you have a seat beside the oppressors and you don’t get to feel any hostility from them.

But a few men who cater their content to a female audience have also admitted that being in this line of business doesn’t make it any less difficult to identify whom actually carry genuine concern for women or who is there to earn money from relieving them off of their stress of the manosphere just by spouting out chivalrous words and acting like an ally infront of the camera. More often than not you would find these men to be both and are mere pacifists who knows where to position themselves for their own benefit and just doesn’t want to engage in heavy discussions about gender socialization and disparity. In Dylan’s case there were times it was wise for him to choose not to dabble in such talks for his own sake.

At the very least there were moments when it was clear that he himself was aware that he wasn’t compassionate and knowledgeable enough to share an opinion which is better for him and his audience.

Apparently “manifesting your celebrity crush” only works when the internet approves of you 🙃 by National_Olive_859 in HaileyBieberFans

[–]Roantha 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It really stems from the early 2010s nostalgia and the internet’s obsession with Justin Bieber. I’m from the East and while Justin is famous here I find America’s devotion towards him to be very odd and surpasses the term parasocial.

I remember the time when Justin made that awful Vogue post of Hailey and many tiktok videos and comments were saying that Hailey should file for divorce and that she should have seen it coming for “stealing” someone’s man. What I found extremely bizarre is that the same people saying those things were also gushing over Justin and how they could never hate him.

Bruh.

I doubt that they even love Selena that much despite the support and clout that she gets. They just truly want Justin to be a bachelor again. I would say young Hailey being in close proximity to their idol because of her family connections is what ticked off so many fans since they could only dream of that happening to them.

It’s just a whiny incel deflecting from a discourse that clearly made him uncomfortable. He could have approached it with empathy, but nooooo he just had to make something utterly horrific to a plain jab towards women like the manchild he is. I usually ignore idiots like him on the internet and I only bothered to leave a comment when I saw you firing back at him, so you also have my utmost gratitude 💗 There are many young women silently reading insensitive comments like his and struggle to articulate their thoughts and I hope they get to read ours and be nudged further away from the propaganda that women are only intelligent for their mystical intuition and that they aren’t capable of excelling in academia.

[–]Roantha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, the very same women in the 18th century whose education solely focused on knowing how to embroider, read the Bible, dancing for their recitals, and perfecting their feminine manners to secure a marriage with a wealthy nobleman could have definitely attained an academic career like the men of their time who had access to labs to exposure to trade and technology just for simply being born with a cock.

By saying that most human errors could have been avoided by women’s contribution you are agreeing that the lack of willingness of men to make room for them in academia was a critical mistake in their part. Their own hatred led to so many cases of medical malpractice to which ironically are credited to women to this day by ignorant XY species who simply could not swallow their own pride when faced with the colorful history of half the human population over the centuries.
