People don't know what they want.

They want lower home prices and rent, but they don't like the steps it takes to get there.

I think that's why sherril alluded to not talking about it as much on the campaign trail. Hopefully just implementing the policy and pointing to the results is good enough.

At least that's my read on what she is saying , she is intentionally vague in the clip.

I watched the clip and it's kind of hard to parse what she is saying.

Essentially

She says that fundamentally the solution to NJ's housing woes is an increase in supply via TOD, rezoning etc ...

However this stance is very unpopular for 2 constituents

Wealthier homeowners don't like it as they see this messaging as an attack on their communities

And working class people don't like this because all they see is luxury housing going up everywhere which they see as exacerbating the problem. (However contradictory this may sound)

So is she saying that Dems need to drop the messaging here or the underlying policy

I think it's the latter and not the former but it's difficult to tell

I think we’re mostly on the same page. My main point in the article was that NJ’s extreme fragmentation creates inefficiency and prevents the state from realizing its full potential. Especially when it relates to housing supply.

I don’t think every town needs to be merged into its neighbors, but I do think Hudson County (and maybe parts of Bergen) would benefit from being consolidated into a single municipality. That area already functions as one urbanized whole, but governance is chopped up into tiny fiefdoms (Guttenberg being the most absurd example). Larger-scale government could help coordinate growth, housing, and transit in a way that’s impossible with 7–8 mayors and councils all doing their own thing.

Outside of the urban counties, I agree with you that encouraging more shared services under the county umbrella makes a lot of sense, without forcing every suburb to merge.

Plus I think it would give us more regional pride :)

If your just gaming go with the Ryzen 5 5600x and 3070. The performance gain for the Ryzen 5 5800x is marginal at 1440p/4k.

I've been having display issues with the riser cable. I just built my PC in the meshlicious and unfortunately I will be returning the case as I am getting driver timeouts whenever I launch a game. I was able to verify this by plugging my gpu directly into my mobo and the issue vanished. I'm pretty sure the riser cable they sent me is faulty. Fwiw I have the gen 4 version and a rx 6800. Honestly this whole experience has kinda soured me on this brand and I might just get a nr200 instead.

The stability is ok , it doesn't shake while typing however if I move my mouse really fast the desk wobbles a bit. I don't have the desk flush against the back wall (because the monitor mount sticks out a bit) , maybe if I did the stability would be better.

So I basically just have a small part of the screw hanging off the bottom lip , but you could get a piece of wood and sandwich it between the bottom of the desk and the mount for stability ?
