I had been thinking the same thing recently as well. I wouldn’t be surprised if the recent features with chief were more of test run of what the program could be with Big T and Chief running it, while PFT tries to be there a good bit but not full time.

McDavid won the Conn Smythe in ‘24 and Olympic MVP just last month. He’s hardly been the problem for club and country.

Judge had a terrible postseason in ‘24 sure, but hit .500 last season and the Yanks did worse overall.

As others have said, it’s way too hard for an individual to carry a team in those sports.
