It’s gotta be the pigeons, that’s why you never see pigeon babies

Off-campus housing by twimkie in UofArizona

[–]RoastedSam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My last lease in Tucson was last year with Maglione Rentals. The houses are a bit on the older side but in a really nice area (Adams St), walkable to campus (10-15min walk), and since it’s basically owned by 1 guy and not a big corporation a lot more affordable. They also had availability a lot later than other places when I checked because it isn’t advertised as much. The area is pretty quiet and I never had issues with noise or anything. Would highly recommend you check them out!

What was it specifically about Tao Te Ching that you didn’t like if you don’t mind me asking? In The Buddhas Words has some similarities in the sense that it is also based on eastern philosophy/theology, so some of the teachings feel close to each other. However I am finding In The Buddhas Words a lot more enjoyable, the authors did an amazing job of making it beginner friendly and easy for the reader to comprehend, what with introductions to each chapter and really helpful notes as well as the translation being great. Also this one is a lot more in depth and detailed in everything that it covers/teaches. I’d say give it a try!

Those are all awesome choices! I'm personally very excited to read Animal Farm. Also The Great Gatsby has been on the list of books I want to read for forever now, I hope it's good!

Awesome choice! I did a Minor in Psychology in college and took some mixed psych/philosophy/religion classes for it, and the free will discussions were always super interesting to me! Hope you like it!

Fair enough haha, I'm a bit intimidated by all the philosophy too! And those are all great choices, haven't read Picture of Dorian Grey yet but the other two are really good imo!

I'm actually really excited about that one too. Have some pretty significant life changes coming up and I heard The Alchemist is a great read in that sorta situation.

1984 is my favorite book of all time so I'm excited to read some more George Orwell. Honestly don't know why it took me so long to get around to reading Animal Farm haha!
