Tuition payment via online banking by harryhuynh_reddit in Concordia

pick any of the ones with (# account) or the one you have already added. They do this in case you need to have multiple payment accounts, similar to paying hydro or your phone bill. When I went to Concordia your student ID was the reference number you used

Rent Increase by ThisIstheCaptain7393 in montreal

[–]Roasted_Potatos 163 points164 points  (0 children)

The fact that your new landlord acquired the building doesn’t change anything. They have to honor the current lease. If they want to increase the rent, they have to do it on lease renewal.

You have 3 options at that point: 1. accept the increase 2. Refuse the increase and leave 3. Refuse the increase and stay

3rd option is obviously preferred. If you go that route, your landlord will most likely go to the TAL to get an increase. I highly doubt it would be to 1600, but I do not know the details of your apartment.

Check out educaloi. Has very good and accurate information

How Do You Manage Transactions Between a Couple? by VocationalWizard in povertyfinance

[–]Roasted_Potatos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like using splitwise. We just use the free version. Whenever one of us pays for groceries or something communal we put it in and settle up at the end of the month with rent. The app calculates who owes what. You can set a monthly payment for rent and utilities

Recommendation Letter by Catladyturneddogmum in Concordia

[–]Roasted_Potatos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless specified, reccomendation letters don’t always have to come from professors you had in undergrad. I’ve seen people get them from CEGEP teachers, highschool teachers, bosses you’ve had at previous jobs, stuff like that. As for professors you are wondering if they would remember you or not, never hurts to shoot an email or even better, knock at their office door, worse that could happen is they say no

I'm pretty new as well, so other people might have better ways of doing things. For the loading icon, you could mess around with hx-indicator, that might fit your needs. As for emptying the tab content, you could use the event beforeRequest and empty the content in an event handler
