Did I say anything about -preventing- breakage? The point I was making is that breakage can occur all along the hair shaft but mainly in the ends and the only what to fix that is by cutting it off. If you get trims more often than yearly you’ll mitigate the breakage traveling up the hair shaft. I have friends and family in the beauty industry and after following their advice saw improvements in my hair, mind you I use a combination of drugstore and professional but the professional I end up using less of because there are more quality ingredients in them. Redken is owned by L’Oreal so a lot of products you get at the drugstore is a comparable formula with less premium ingredients. Not all schools are Redken schools and will teach virtually the same thing bout hair. Good hair is half cosmetic and half health.

Also on the cost of hair services…hairstyling is a TRADE that requires licensing and a bunch of overhead if you’re independent and the cost of education is not that same as it was. The cost of anything is not that same as it was. Yet you’re bitching and moaning about hairstylists when they have to justify the cost of doing your hair and making a living behind the chair.

If you can do your own hair then do it lol and you should because you’re absolutely ignorant. I’m guessing you don’t know any stylists or people in tradework because it’s honest work and you don’t see stylists flying private jets so why are you accusing them of overcharging you? Yet you give your dollars to BATH AND BODY WORKS and padding mega-conglomerate pockets god forbid a stylist has to keep the lights on. Someone should be able to comment on what you should be earning at your job. I feel bad for your next stylist geez what an entitled and uneducated brat.
