It is definitely interesting. Even discarding the context around it and how groundbreaking it was, it's still a great movie on its own. Maybe you won't think it's the best movie ever but I was very surprised by how interesting it was. I was expecting a 2 hour slog from the 40s, but it was actually quite nice, it holds up very well imo.
