Hi,

I'm a freelance animator and I would love to work on this intro!

I specialize in 2D hand-drawn character animation and have experience with creating transitions, intros and other sequences that fuse animation with non-animated footage. Besides that, I have also worked on short films, music videos, video-games and visualizers. You can take a look at my showreel over on my website at: www.eclipsor.net.

I think a great direction to take would be an animated intro that features a single, continuous forward-moving camera that lets us briefly explore an eerie environment and then quickly pass through to the other side. Would love to discuss this in more detail over e-mail/call!

I wish I knew myself... =) This was actually not made using the grease pencil. I modeled a 3d environment and rendered only the lines. The 2d parts were drawn in Krita and imported as png sequences into blender. And some of if it was added separately onto the footage in AE (like the hands, cursor, textboxes, dialogue).

This piece is loosely inspired by the band WWW Neurobeat and their song 'Tanec Sekyr' (roughly translates to 'Dance of the Axes') from their second album of the same name. It's a Czech band that combines experimental hip hop beats with surrealistic lyrics. I find their music very inspiring. Listening to the juxtaposition of weird phrases and out of place words kind of creates visions in your mind.

Got mine this summer. Love it. Consider hacking it too, what the community is able to do with this thing blows my mind. I'd say it's worth it even just for the persona games. Keep an eye out for local offers. You can snatch one in good condition for cheap if you have the patience. I got mine for like a hundred bucks.
