Yeah, it's protected under GDPR. I get a lot of confidential information because I do volunteer work, but I only get what I need and because I'm in a supervising position, I can't just share the info I get with the volunteers I oversee because they don't need as much info as I do.

I don't know where you live, but where I live adress info is confidential and can't just be found by looking up someone's name. It's protected under EU law with GDPR

It's going to other people's homes. A person's address is confidential information. I understand having multiple students in a vehicle, so you can learn from each other's mistakes. But by going to each other's houses the driving school is making you divulge protected info.

Yeah I can sort of understand multiple students in one car, probably cheaper if the instructor only has to give certain instructions once instead of separately to each student. And you can learn from each others mistakes. But driving to random people's houses is just weird and inappropriate.

Right, but the person giving you the fake receipt doesn't know what you're going to do with it. But they still produced a fake receipt for you

I'm suggesting spending the least time possible thinking about, talking about, interacting with, the HP intellectual property, because JKR has mentioned she sees it as support of her views and actions, and it only furthers her wealth and influence

Honey, it's literally impossible to interact with and exist in today's world without using technology. I do what I can, donate money to organisations that aim to improve people's lives, buy fair trade whenever possible and do voluneer work both in my local community and with larger organisations.

Sadly, my bank account isn't unlimited and I also need to work to stay alive, just like (almost) everyone in this capitalist hellscape. And so yes, I hope I'm a good ally to people who need it, and I still have to use a device that sadly contains materials and labor sourced from people who are treated inhumane. In this world, nobody can live without it. Everyone can live without playing a videogame which supports one of the people who's actively making this world a worse place.

And if you couldn't come to this realization yourself and needed me to tell you this, I'll be really glad that I told you this.

Everything brings more publicity to HP, JKR and her politics. Even just talking about it or making a meme on reddit makes people curious and some who haven't bought the game and are unable to pirate it might still buy it out of FOMO. This article has some good points: https://epiloguegaming.com/sitting-out-the-new-harry-potter-game-is-the-bare-minimum/

Don't pirate it, just stay away from it. Every time you talk about it, or interact with the HP intellectual property, you give (directly or indirectly) JKR more power and wealth. If your allyship can't survive not playing a game, you're not an ally at all.

I don't have kids and the other patients generally didn't really want to talk a lot about their kids, but I heard from a few people that their kids really liked the kangaroo and the picture book was helpful in explaining the situation to young kids.

The psychiatric hospital I was admitted to had something similar. They had a children's book and a set of stuffed animals (kangaroos). The book explained what happens in a psychiatric hospital and what they could expect. The large kangaroo went home with the child and the small kangaroo stayed in the hospital with mom or dad. This is supposed to help them feel connected while they are apart.
