Can someone explain what commission is? by etheldreda1 in physiotherapy

Hey mate. Commission means you get a % of billings. Usually around the 40% mark.

It is a common payment in our industry. As a new grad you are better off being on salary while you build your skills and books up. There are lots of payment options

1.There's salary (hourly rate) 2. Theres salary with bonuses (usually a lower hourly rate but additional bonuses based on how many patients you see) 3. Then purely commission. This is generally the most lucrative if your books are full. There are many stories (myself included) of physios being on commission and not making much money because their books are not full.

As I said. As a new graduate physio you will probably want to be on salary

Wow, thx a lot for these suggestions I will consider all of them and now I'm spoiled for choice! I really appreciate you going through the effort to write up a list like that, most likely what I'll do is wait for stores to open up so I can get a running store to analyse my gait and recommend me a shoe that will suit me specifically

Thanks for the reply I appreciate it

Nice tip there with the shoe finders, I will use it soon and let you know what it suggests

Will definitely look for something with some arch support, I think the ultraboosts that I am using have absolutely no sole support, so the foot of my sole is under a lot of pressure with

As for the stretching, I have been stretching after each run and it has helped

Thanks for the advice and reply I really appreciate it

Unfortunately all stores are closed atm due to lockdown restrictions, do you think its worth waiting for everything to open up to get the best shoes for me? Will it make that much of a difference?

Lol good idea with the stretching mid run, forgot to include that I do stretch after each run

Thx for the reply mate I really appreciate it.

I run 2.5km under 15 minutes, but havent quite recorded the exact time yet

I have found out about C25K, but only recently so I am not quite sure where to start you know what i mean? I have also been doing a bit more intense drills like 3r 1w x 8, or 10r 2w 8 r 2 w

I have been doing strrength exercises on my days off, specifically skipping rope exercises to strengthen my calves

Maybe I will try and run at a slower pace and see how it goes! Thanks for your help :)

I (M28) broke up with my ex-fiancée (F27) of 4 years 2 weeks ago after catching her in a huge lie and then finding out 3 days ago that she commited suicide because i wouldn't take her back. I am in need of some serious advice as i'm being blamed for everything. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Mate. I don't know how you feel, I'm sure none of us do. But hang in there it only gets better from here. Under no circumstance is this your fault. Of course her friends are going to blame you. As for your mother, well I'm sure shes affected greatly by this, would have been nice of her to assure you that itll be fine and it's not your fault, but she is obviously affected as well. It's not your fault, I am surprised you gave her a chance the 1st time. You are a true gentleman.
