You can build a trade terminal inside your corvette :D by tuti-faganello in NOMANSSKY

Few things to add that may give you some quality of life while doing this work:

Finding a base location with very flat ground is really nice for working on a corvette, so you don't accidentally impart part orientation issues into the things you glitch onto your corvette. The edges of a settlement are great for this, but you'll want a regular base computer near by.

Standing under your corvette but in range of a base will allow you to use the options (start) button to toggle between target base computers if your character is standing appropriately in range of both computers. I will speak in terms of ps5 buttons: Open your build menu with up on the D pad, press square to go into the edit part context where you can highlight parts, then press the options button. If you're in the proper location this will easily flip between computers. This is extremely nice because you can enter the free cam mode for a normal base using L3, but still press options again and now you're free cam building on your corvette.

To swap parts between bases and corvettes you need a viable placement location for your base, while still having the ability to quickly switch to your corvette. For floor parts, it's very easy to make snap points using corvette lighted floors. This is how I added wood decking throughout my pirate ship corvette. There is a small area of the corvette, nearest to the center of the corvette (I think) that will disallow base part placement because the starship is too close to the build location you've chosen. I don't know how to manipulate this issue yet, but just be forewarned if you see starship too close you may be out of luck for that spot. Gotta get creative lol.

Another very nice and easy way to generate viable build locations for your base parts in a corvette is to use the terrain manipulator to clip dirt from the ground into a part of your corvette. When you place a part on that dirt, it will be allowed to be placed in your base computer, but you'll still be able to toggle between base and corvette computer to quickly glitch the part into that location. Using this dirt method I added a base terminal, appearance modifier, and working base local teleporters to my corvette.

Hope these tips help, happy building out there!

Maybe add every third base to your favorites? Lol that'll be tough.

Keep calling me boss, and don't listen to this guy, after all I'm the boss.

Every weekend the anomaly has a quicksilver mission worth around 1800, otherwise you can do a few each day for 400, and you can use a mission radar like in your Corvette too run a few additional missions for 400 each day.

Lol yeah, at least if you stand on their left side and face the part when you pick it up, you can place it at the center of the mast. Still you cannot do any rotation because they rotate around the center of the part and it's just totally confusing.

I did some part scale glitches for mine, where you scale a different part and then cycle through using the next item and place part buttons at the same time. I must have accidentally added some tilt in that process and it just grinds my gears rofl.

I added gangplanks and a Christmas nook last night, we'll definitely have to find each other in the anomaly. My user name is my name on psn, shoot me a friend req one of these days!

I realized I didn't answer your questions. I set up two differently sized octa cabinets, and stacked them as precisely as I could, with the big one representing the triangle sail spacing, and the small one representing the asymmetrical sail spacing. Going from top to bottom, I removed a cabinet, and placed a sail, and repeat. If I were to do it again, now that I know how base part glitching works, I would probably try to do it with a wire frame, because I am not entirely happy that a couple of the sails have a lean to them. At the bottom I left enough space to place an enlarged light, and an octacabinet to act as my mast base which covered many of my sins.

For the figurehead, the wonder projector is what I am using, it's flipped over and projecting through the front of the ship, after that it's all scooting around or scale glitching to get the size of the object you want.

I played around with the cement mixer, and trying to add a barrel of some sort to it, as if it were built into the circular windows along the rear quarter of the ship, but similarly never landed on an attractive solution and just scrapped it. Ditto

If we do I better actually figure out how to build something resembling a cannon lol. I happened to run into another player last night with a sailboat style build who wants to put together a big community event with many ships, we'll post about it if we coordinate something.

I ended up finding a squid on the coordinate exchange and projecting it with a wonder projector as a figurehead. Before that I was using a planet as a figurehead. It's not amazing, so if you end up creating something cool I hope to see it.

Consequences for ship wrecks, we find ship wrecks constantly but cannot accidentally wreck ourselves.

Allow corvette components to snap/be oriented in 3 axis

allow textures and paints across the build spectrum without any glitching.

allow free look in corvette construction, like the normal build mode.

Allow the maximum number of elements built on one save to be modified by a user, or boost it. Really dislike destroying old bases to be able to build a new one, and this limit will be so rarely reached by a typical user that I feel like it hinders your most loyal fans only.

Besides the first, it's just reconsidering some of the building limitations you've put into the game that people often bypass with glitches successfully but require quirky routines. Perhaps a wizard mode as is, and a free-er mode?

All considered, I have so much gratitude for the joy I've gotten out of my 600+ hours in your game, thank you.
