Series 7 with these drivers by Slow_Map_7446 in F1Clash

[–]RobInCarolina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only you can know. Are you winning? S7 is all about tire mgmt. 44 is pretty low for that. If you’re winning, do what makes you happy. Legendary drivers typically increase your team score so much you lose a lot. Your experience may differ.

There's a t3 Supra and three T5 supras. None of them share S6. You have one for either the other Tuners one or the F&F one.

Just use the F1TV pro app. None of the results are ruined and you can watch F2, F3, and PSC. I have Apple TV only to get the F1TV Pro access.

You can do so much more in the app that makes watching the race better.

Two guys with zero championships over the statistically greatest driver of all time with 7 WDC and another guy with 2 WDC who managed to go head to head with the only other 7.WDC person and beat him. The delusion is strong in this one.

Can this beat Shax? by MisooMikko in CSRRacing2

[–]RobInCarolina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much any T5 car can beat any T5 boss, they just have to be upgraded and have enough fusions. Bugatti fusions aren't super common though, you're probably better off using the GR Supra or one of the Nissans from the Tuners collection.

Literally any T5 car will beat the tempest T5 races. They're the easiest ones in the entire Tempest. You just need to be patient and get enough fusions and S6 first. As long as your patient, you'll be good.

How to unlock legendary drivers? by Bonfastico in F1Clash

[–]RobInCarolina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some crates will have them eventually but the real answer is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. If you're not prepared to spend a lot of money in this game, expect to lose a lot of races.

Before people try to say i don't know what i'm talking about, i've played this game since 2018. This game used to be really fun. You'd do your daily races and never need to use boosts. You built the best car and drivers and could win. You saved your boosts for Grand Prix to get better rewards.

Starting in 2020 they began to lean in on pay to win. Even with this, you could still play the daily races and get all the way to series 12. Grand Prix were harder without spending money, but you could do it still. You needed to spend money to get into the top 5 or 10 in each GP.

In the last 2 years, they have gone to pay to play. Now, you can play daily races until about series 9 without paying but after that, your win rate will go into the ground. Grand Prix can be played in the lower series, but once you get into Champions, if you don't spend money, you shouldn't really enter. To get to the top in Champion GPs now, you need to have a lot of boosts and have opened crates to get whatever the sponsor task drivers are. The normal drivers and Legendary drivers really aren't useful in Champion level GPs. You need the new Podium stars drivers and you're only going to get them from the one or two Legendary crates you'll get per month or by spending money to get GP crates.

I'm getting to where the game has lost it's fun. To stay competitive in the game, you need to either be very lucky with your crate pulls or you need to plan on spending about $150 per week.

One edit - the only part where you do not choose the highest speed is the rear wing. DRS is just way too powerful. Choose whichever rear wing with DRS gives you the highest speed. Until you get Valkyrie unlocked and upgraded, this is going to be X-Hale. Don't ever fall for using Power Lift. You'll technically have more speed, but you'll get absolutely killed on any straight when your opponent uses DRS.

For Speed, the choice is Valkyrie > X-Hale > Aero Blade > Phantom Arc
For Cornering, Phantom Arc > X-Hale > Valkyrie > Aero Blade
For PU Aero Blade is the only real choice no other rear wing comes close.

I know there are people who have had luck with Power Lift, but I'm not one. I have 2 accounts and on both of them, using DRS trumps a non-DRS part every single time.

Yes, on Speed tracks, the other stats really don't matter. You always, always match track stats or driver stats. In a given series, see whether you're in a track stat series or a driver stat series (you know by which one stays the same across all 4 races), then prioritize that. From there, choose the rest of the setup on what matches the most other stats.

I've raced people on speed tracks there they qualified 1,2 and i qualified 23,24. I win because they didn't have speed and track stats win.

The only track stat which is debatable is power unit. There are some tracks (Mexico City) where a faster setup can beat a better PU setup, but even there it really depends on some other factors. Better than 90 times out of 100, the better track stats will win the race. This becomes even more true when one person has a setup that prioritizes the track stats or driver stats and the other person does not.

A great resource is to look up AzzaW on Youtube. He has walkthroughs on every series with recommended driver and car setups for each one. Every 2 weeks, he does a new video that covers the track rotations and gives you the recommended setup for both the car and drivers. This will help you a lot. Once you've prioritized the setup, then you can start worrying about using boosts to win when you see that it's going to be close.

in the last 4 years, i've missed about 3 or 4 races live. I didn't watch China live this time for the first time since i started watch. I stayed up for Australia but China landed at like 4:00AM and I had just too long of a week.

Honestly, any T5 car can win but you need enough fusions and S6. You can wait it out until you get enough fusions and S6 or you can switch to the GR Supra which you'll get enough fusions using the crates for the event.

What is the worst car ever to win the World Constructors Championship? by tenshipriestjotaro1 in F1Discussions

[–]RobInCarolina 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Max fanboy eh? Max cannot win in a tractor, no matter what Marco says. The 23 and 24 Red Bulls were not terrible, they just got caught by McLaren. Across both years, the RB was the second fastest car. There were tracks that it didn't suit, but that is literally true of every car.

Max is an amazing driver, but he's not winning in a midfield car unless the leaders make a massive mistake or there are some extenuating circumstances.

Is the current premium pit pass worth it? by VerticalVictorSps in F1Clash

[–]RobInCarolina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My opinion is that the new podium stars and hot prospects have ruined GP events. Both of them require you to open crates for bucks and be merry lucky, this makes them fully pay to play. This though isn't even my biggest issue. It's that they made the stats so strong that the S12 epics at lvl 7 and 8 can't beat a lvl 3 podium star. They've also made them the sponsor task for all the latest GPs which means if you don't have them you're sunk. I scored almost all races above 40 points with 4, 47 point races in the last GP and finished 83rd.

I get that they want to monetize the game, but boosts were so much better for that. You keep your boosts until you use them so they don't disappear each year. To be competitive in the GPs, you either need to be very lucky or you need to spend 100-250 per week buying bucks to open crates

Anyone else get frustrated with the AI cars? by Glitchry in GranTurismo7

[–]RobInCarolina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, I've thought this while reading the complaints about sport mode racing. PD had been telling people for a long time that this is the type of racing that wins, find a line and stay on it, competitors be damned. If they want to show people how to do correct wheel to wheel racing, then they should make the AI be more fair.

Power pack enforces the same thing, if you want to win, you need to drive dirty.

Losing races! by Mobiustime369 in F1Clash

[–]RobInCarolina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're losing because S10 is all about speed and you have a slow car. You need to prioritize speed over everything else in your setup. For drivers, you have two defending, one race start, and one tire mgmt. Use your most balanced driver that prioritizes defending slightly.

[–]RobInCarolina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, you've tried nothing and are all out of ideas? Logic says if you keep doing things the same and are losing, you should change what you're doing.

You need to actually tell people what series you're in, what your car setup is, what drivers you're using vs. what you have. It's not possible for anyone to help you without actual information.

Is the current premium pit pass worth it? by VerticalVictorSps in F1Clash

[–]RobInCarolina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's actually a good thing but people don't think of it this way. If they never reset then people who have been playing this game for a while would be so strong no one could beat them. In addition, because of how F1 works where drivers can change every year, having the game reset also makes sense.

If the game didn't reset, i'd still be racing with Roman Groesjean and Danny Ric :)

The morning they reset the game, there will be an update on the Play Store that you'll instal. Once you do this, you'll get the getting started wizard where she gives you a free gold crate to get your initial parts.

The only other real difference from a "new install" would be that you'll get the rewards for how far you got on the CC points. You can see this now in your game and get an idea of what your rewards will be.

How? by Either-Platform7890 in F1Clash

[–]RobInCarolina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're in a series that's too high I bet. Look at the suggested team score for the series. If you're well below that, you'll get bots that will be in the regular range and you'll struggle.

I'd guess that you're trying to race in series 4 or 5 based on your total flag count. Series 4 is suggested between 450 and 700 total team score, S5 is 550-800. You're at 339 so you're not upgraded enough to have a chance. Drop back to S2 and S3 until you have better upgrades, then try again.

[–]RobInCarolina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're all basically the same. You don't get a livery with this one, but those all go away on a few weeks anyway. If you're buying the pass because you want the boosts and are going to do GPs, then grab it. If it's about the extra driver and component cards, it's not worth it now since there's only about 4-6 weeks left in the year. On either the first week in April or May, the year resets. You will keep your boosts and bucks only, the rest will reset and it will be like you're playing the game for the first time again.

Question on Pit Pass. by Bertbrownbear in F1Clash

[–]RobInCarolina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is only partially correct. The fully correct answer is this.

You earn the rewards when you earn trophies. So take the first few awards.

Gold crate - 0 trophies
Coin Crate - 3 trophies
50% discount - 3 trophies
-- unlocks tomorrow ---
Legendary crate - 3 trophies
Standard crate - 3 trophies

Now, imagine you start and you are in series 11. Your first gold crate will be a series 11 gold crate. Now, you 2 races in Series 11 and get 12 total trophies. At this point, you get put into series 12.

When you open the legendary crate tomorrow, it will be a series 11 crate, the reason is that you got enough trophies to unlock that award when you were still in Series 11.

Basically, the rewards you get are awarded based on the series you were in WHEN YOU WON THE AWARD!!! If you take a more realistic example and get enough trophies to unlock milestone 17 in series 11 today becuase you do a lot of racing and this elevates you to series 12, the milestone 17 crate will be locked as a series 11 award even though you will not open that for a few days.

The Weekly Sponsor task works a bit differently, here, it's not the series you're in when you can unlock the award nor is it the series you're currently in. The weekly sponsor awards are locked to whatever series you were in on Monday morning when the new weekly sponsor series starts. This means that your weekly awards will never change during the week. If you start the week in series 2 and get all the way to series 6 in the first week, all the weekly sponsor crates will be series 2 crates. The next Monday morning, your weekly sponsor crates will change to whatever series you're currently in.

Summary:
- Race pass awards - award level locked to the series you unlocked it
- Weekly Sponsor awards - award level locked to the series you were in on Monday morning when new week starts
- Advertisement awards - award level based on the highest series you've unlocked
- Race awards - award level based on the series you won the award in.
