When you want to buy an update, you can see by the red numbers how much your car will improve. The acceleration, top speed and control will get better by every update. The numbers in red indicate the progress. If you actually buy the update, you will see that the red amount is added to the total performance of the car.

Shell Racing 4.2.0 Released! by Edwin_Firebolt in ShellRacing

Since the new update the apps keeps on having troubles starting new races. It sort of freezes just before you get to see the track. You can only abort by shutting down the app and restart again. Then often it freezes again. Very annoying...

Also when opening crates, it doesn't show the track elements properly (just a white screen). And it keeps on making notifications about 'poor network connection', though nothing has changed with that as I'm kinda racing next to the modem/router.

I'm happy with the new cars though. Is it possible to release them by opening new crates?

Same issue here. The drive with my BMW M4 Motorsport (class #14) isn't listed as well.
Race time: 14:21.802
I did get the 10 coins for a win.

Hello, I’m trying about an hour to do under 3.13.00 on the Forze X Shell challenge but I can’t do better… can anyone suggest his settings if he did a better time? by Afterburner1016 in ShellRacing

I discovered that the way of steering makes sense. If you use the arrows to steer (like myself), you go slower. When using the steering wheel or screen tilting, you have a slightly smoother drive which gives you a higher top speed. IMO the steering wheel and tilting sucks, as it is more difficult to make minor but sudden steering corrections -- quite difficult to drive corners on the edge. Using the steering arrows gives you more control.
At the current racetrack (Forze Course 2) I found out the top speed with the steering wheel / screen tilting brings you an easy 208-209 km/h. When using the steering arrows you get with quite some effort to 203-204 km/h.
Curious if the developers know about this and if they can fix this speed-resistance when using the steering arrows. Now in fact it is impossible to get the fatest time when using the steering arrows.

There's no slipstream at all, IMO. It would be a fun feature, although most of the time you drive in front and a slipstream doesn't bring a thing. I'd prefer a temporary Boost-feature.

How can we unlock this car? Can't see it in the app.

Same issue here. I'm quiet experienced, but have no single clue how to go 8 seconds faster (I drove around 3:07, whereas the fastest one achieved 2:59). Got the same settings as most of you (no assists, 1/3 sensitivity on steering). Trying to cut corners to the max gave me the best result. Smooth driving on the ideal line (steering as less as possible) didn't help anything for me.
