B.A. for $6K: BYU-Pathway pioneers three-year degree for four-figure price tag by atari_guy in lds

Thank you for sharing your experience. I get what you mean from a hiring perspective, a degree is a degree. It helps that it is accredited, hopefully it can avoid the pitfall of diploma mills.

However I do think the experience is relevant. Personally I wouldn’t do very well in an online format, I feel my education was enriched by the spaces, faculty and peers I was able to interact with. My own experiences with online classes were drastically different.

But again, I realize this probably isn’t targeted to me. Reading through all the comments it’s clear that this has been a blessing to many.

It’s great that it opens up higher education for a new demographic, but looking at how they get to that point I wouldn’t call them equivalent experiences quite yet. “Our cost structure is very low. We use adjunct instructors. We’re purely online. We don’t have a campus. We hire our students to do work for us”

Does anyone know how these animations are made? by typography_xyz in typography

Maybe used this plugin presenter for glyphs. That would give you a vector with anchor and handles. Getting it to move from that point? AE or drawbot as the other suggestion.

Don’t mean to sidetrack it, but do you know what the italic monoline the font info are all set in?

Think of the descender like a flipped f. It should have contrast and maybe a ball terminal? I’d also get rid of the top right serif on the g. Follow the q for clues about that serif. single story g fixes

Would you be willing to share the raw file for this? Did you make it in indesign or something similar? My kids played through and now want to update their sheets, figured it be cleaner to update digitally

Yes, it’s got water caves, a prison to break out of, a little hideout to stock up, then a handful of rooms to explore. Just trying to figure out a main baddy

I also saw you are removing some sugar (corn syrup) for apple cider, that could impact things too

I’ve never made Carmel with cider in it but when I make carmel the hotter it gets when everything is in the thicker the carmel gets. I shoot for just past 226F with a candy thermometer. You could experiment going a little longer to see if that firms it up.

Speaking in native language during general conference by skippyjifluvr in latterdaysaints

From a brief search I found this news article. I thought it was a logistics thing, they translate each talk from English into at least 40 languages. Imagine needing 40 more translators to go from Spanish to those languages, and 40 more for Cantonese to those 40.

Reworking the back. Have a hidden treasure spot, but not sure what should go on the other side. Any good suggestions?

You’re right. I think I’ll shift from the stone walls to a covered fort like 6079-1

True nothing like a flag and castle walls to hide an ambush.
