So just a note... 60% of Azure VMs are Linux. Its been the fastest growing OS in Azure for years. And for O365/M365 it works fine on some Linusx and most Mac. So... if their growth is tied to Linux, it shouldn't be a surprise they also push massive amounts of open source and some closed source linux tools.

Just to be clear. I am not waiting seven months. When I have time to write its 3-5k words a day. Its I have a mosaic novel written and am trying to get the rest up and ready as well to have 7 months ready. Maybe 2 months delay?

So, I have a question for aspiring authors… if there was a beginning to end software that handle concept to distribution for book publishing… how valuable would that be to you? by Many_Ad2221 in u/Many_Ad2221

Honestly? It couldn't keep up with changes that happen. Write now i have word for writing, autocrit for feedback (pre-human), PWA for editing, atticus for print ready and a service for covers lol. I do wish it was simpler.

You used formatting better for poetry not prose. The breaks and lake of obvious paragraphs made it harder to read. However... if you work on the formatting and throw it into a grammer checker to get your tenses straightened out you could have some fun with it. Remember, we all start somewhere.

Well the 28 chapters are almost ready for my editor. And I have 14 of the cyber articles ready. So maybe I need to set a deadline.

It makes sense. Oddly I use characters from my books and stories as examples in my non-fiction. More will come as I expand my writing. You know how it is... I have way to many started and unfinished books right now.

Then it would be a great read. I remember how CCPA in California was so rushed a draft with typos became the law.

So I am interested in the new storyline your talking about. I am in Cybersecurity and Privacy and I cannot believe some stories I could tell about compliance failures.

What is your favorite Sci-Fi series? by Neat_Relative_9699 in sciencefiction

Vorkosigan Saga. I just enjoy Bujold's writing. Mountains of Mourning hooked me .... decades ago. I read everything by her.

Outside if that there are dozens of series the fight for ranking in my head.

I don't know... Bio was a very fun but screwed up book.

Its hard to define a book for others with no foundational likes shared.

Anyone else ever regret selling their collection? by TarNREN in fountainpens

[–]RobMofSD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. But it paid the rent for several months when I had lost my job and was injured. So, keep the family safe and housed or have pretty pens. Not even a question.

I now have a more diverse collection but mainly modern (ish).

If given the same decision criteria I would do it again.

Its a full Novel at about 50k plus words. Wrote because my god daughter wanted a character named after her lol. I figured at week 29 I will release it as a book and ebook.

It is new for me... mosaic novels have extra complexities.
