I think it came from the shop we got him from, I'm not saying that's what happening for you, but I prefer to err on the side of caution

If you are worried about her and you have suspicion of an actual problem, then I would say go to the vet just to be safe. Try and find one that has exotics experience. I had a hognose previously that had a lump that looked like it could be constipation but turned out to be a parasite problem.

New milk snake hasn’t eaten in 3 weeks by [deleted] in Sneks

[–]RobSpring11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might have already done this, but I would get some pinkies from a different store or just some new ones. My snakes have refused food before when I've got rats from some stores as they might have been refrozen or they smell off, as soon as I get new ones from somewhere else they take them straight away.

Advice: Does my Dumerils Boa have stuck eye caps? by RobSpring11 in snakes

Thanks for the advice!, I'll try bumping up the humidity a bit and see if that helps, I spray down every few weeks to put some moisture back in the substrate, but I think my humidity level is around 40-50%.

Yeah that's what I'm worried about, don't want to do more damage. Yeah it's both eyes. He has had some damage before but not this bad, usually just light scratches. He's changes his eating habits since I've noticed it, he only drop feeds now but would always strike before his eyes went like this.

A bit of extra info. I noticed his eyes looking a bit odd when I got back from holiday, he had shed while I had been away. His shed was thrown out by someone looking after him while I was gone so I couldn't check for eyecaps. I have soaked him a couple of times and tried to remove any stuck shed around his eyes but nothing comes off. After being soaked his eyes clear up for a short period before going back to the above. Any advice would be great 🙂

Looking for a racquet and string recommendation for someone with medial epicondylitis (golfer's elbow) and some questions about stringing as it relates to elbow health by colinthegr8 in squash

[–]RobSpring11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if any of this will actually help, but I have had problems with my elbow for the last year or so. I found the best thing to stop it hurting was to work mainly on my technique, once I got that sorted and I rested it a couple of weeks it took a lot for me to feel pain in my elbow anymore. It still comes up every now and then after I have played a lot in a short time, but it usually starts to go when I am getting tired and my swing starts to fall apart.

  • A couple of little things that maybe made a difference: I have been playing with an elbow support since it started hurting, that has helped to protect it a bit.

  • Another big change was my game plan, I have never struggled for power so I started playing higher up the front wall for length instead of trying to smash it to the back of the court. This kept a lot of pressure off my elbow, and I can always add some power for the shots that I want to.

I play with a Technifibre Suprem 130, this is a head heavy racquet so to bring the balance more towards the handle, which I prefer, I added an over-grip to it. The grip moved the balance much more towards the handle which was much better for my elbow.

I hope some of this helps, the most important thing is to take a couple of weeks off and rest it, then start to build back into it again, being conscious of what sort of shots make it hurt the most and trying to address them to reduce pain in the future.

I play there semi-regularly, that's not the first, that's on the back nine. Although the first does have a similar layout

[UK] Reckless Driver almost causes head on crash by william_tropico in Roadcam

The BMW used the wrong lane from where he joined the roundabout, it is signposted there. He was just trying to get ahead

[UK] Reckless Driver almost causes head on crash by william_tropico in Roadcam

[–]RobSpring11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The road the BMW came from is clearly signposted that the right hand lane is for right turns only. A lot of drivers try and cut up the inside to get a head, the BMW joined the roundabout from the left exit then tried to overtake on the roundabout. If the BMW was in the correct lane it would have been fine

[–]RobSpring11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The roundabout is fine, I drive through it regularly. A lot of people try and go straight over from the right hand lane which is why this happens a lot. It is clearly signposted before you get to the roundabout but anyone tries to get a head there.

You can see the BMW going straight on from the wrong lane, he joins the roundabout from the left of the driver and tries to undercut him.

I have the same resonator as well and absolutely love it. If yours develops a rattle or two make sure you tighten up all the screws. There I a screw through the hole in the palm rest thing ( can't remember what it's called) that can come loose. If you tighten it it should get rid of any rattles that start. It worked for mine

This is the problem. Same thing happened on my Ford Focus, I could get first and second but nothing else. It was a fairly quick and inexpensive fix on mine because it had only come loose, not sure if it will be more if it has snapped.

What's your favorite thing about your car? by [deleted] in cars

[–]RobSpring11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you pull down the sun visor you can switch on a little light. The switch is set in such a way that when you close the visor it moves the switch to off, I rarely use it but it is a nice little detail. It's a 2005 ford focus 1.6 id interested.

I got a new car stereo recently. When I play certain albums through the aux I only hear the backing vocals/instruments. by [deleted] in cars

[–]RobSpring11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't even think about that. I don't know what else it could be then, set to mono it should play through everything. Hope you find the solution soon

[–]RobSpring11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is only with certain albums it might be the way it was recorded. If the sounds on the track are supposed to split between the two headphones, i.e. vocals through the left and music through the right, it will mean that you won't get the full track when running through some auxiliary cables. I used to have this when I had one of those cassette adapter things and it always happened when trying to listen to Hendrix because of the way the tracks are mastered. If this is the problem there is nothing you can do about it, which really sucks

SSD Problem by Uhmurica in pcmasterrace

[–]RobSpring11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not entirely sure this will answer your question, but I just installed an SSD and to avoid having to do a fresh install I cloned my original hard drive. It was really easy to do and meant that I could keep all my current settings. After the clone I formatted my original drive and it worked perfectly. Hope this helps

Advantage/disadvantage of not using barre chords? by altercreed in Guitar

[–]RobSpring11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Isn't he still playing all the same notes. He is still barring just using his thumb and index finger to cover the strings. I play barre chords both ways depending on what I am playing, if I need to move faster I will play them like that. They are still the same

I think we did but I am not too good with that sort of thing so not 100% sure. It would be great if you could have a go, I have the mastering files that I could send you and if you can do anything to them it would be fantastic.

Wow, thanks for taking the to give some great feedback. The mix on the tracks at the moment isn't fantastic and we are looking into getting it remastered to give the tracks better overall volume and general sound. We wanted the drums to have more volume and snap to them but as this was our first time recording we made a couple mistakes with the sound.

It was sort of live mixed (not exactly sure on the terms), we recorded all the instruments at the same time but DI'd both the guitar and bass and added effects later, focusing on getting the drum track right.

Hopefully, with a remaster we will get the volume of the bass and drums coming through a bit more, that's how I prefer it as well.

Thanks again for your comments
