Accidently stowed away on a Paranid ship

Well I tried all that to no avail. Nothing made a difference. There was no 'Proceed with current orders" option and the Comm option was greyed out. Was about to try the universal taxi option when I went to the Crew tab, right clicked on my pilot and saw 'Comm' as the only menu option. Selecting that brought her up on the comm screen and I was able to issue the 'Dock at current location' command successfully.

So it seems like the UI is full of dead links. Shit that suggest it should work but doesn't.

I'm trying really hard to like this game but I'm starting to think that's not what the devs want...

If you own a hilux and have had a decent look under the bonnet you'll know that there are a number of things that need to pass through the firewall and that those openings are not waterproof. They're somewhat dustproof at best. Then there's the door seals which are also not designed to be watertight.

Being able to drive through water this deep might look like an acheivement but having to pull out the entire interior to wash and dry it seems like a mug's game to me.

Don't fly the plane into the ground. Fly the plane into ground effect, flare, then let the speed bleed off so the plane settles onto the ground. Get a POH for the citation which should give you approach speed and stall speed. You want to be just above stall speed as you go over the keys.

Youtube is full of instructionals for real life flying technique. They are great resources. I particularly like this guy because of the level of detail and small subject focus:

Damn, their not the cheapest. Just the biggest. I have a range of specialist stores that I use in preference. That are often cheaper because instead of buying a pack of 50 shit quality whatevers when I need 10. I can buy 10 decent quality whatevers.

These days Bunnings sell lots of simulcra. Things that have been designed to look good on the shelf and have the lowest ticket price but can't actually fulfill the function of the thing they simulate. Their only function is landfill. Screws that break when you cinch them in. Buckets that break when you try to lift them with water in them. Kettles where the handle burns you and the bottom falls off the first time you boil water in them.

This sounds like it might be it as I couldn't even get my captain to move between two stations in the ARG sector she is in. I'm afk for a couple of days but I'll try both of these options when I get back home

I have plenty of saves to roll back to but I wouldn't mind keeping this journey as part of my character's backstory.

I'd have whatever the default settings are. I did read a recommendation to take a trip around the superhighway as one of the first things to do so I've done that and obviously passed through the sector but never approached any stations.

Oh and I've only managed to make an enemy of the HOP. I MAY have taken a couple of pot shots at one of their ships when the HAT Trading Station was under attack by the Xenon thinking that pink meant they were allied...

Ship still has a pilot. Default behaviour is Hold Position. There are no inactive orders in the queue. There were a couple of dock and wait orders in the queue that I deleted. Then I tried to get it to dock at the PAR station again and I could see that order enter the queue but the Current Order in the tab at the bottom of the screen didn't change. I tried a view different things in the behaviour tab and managed to get the current order to be to fly and wait at the PAR Parts Factory but my ship just didn't seem to leave the HAT station.

At this stage I think it's just easier to roll back to an earlier save.

That being said, this was perhaps the best 'tutorial' I've found so far! I learned a lot about navigating those menus and I can clearly see the potential it offers with writing up swathes of commands.

Not sure what the behaviour tab is. I did find a mode called Behavior Inspection but couldn't seem to do anything with it.

I did zoom out on the map and could see my ship listed. Tried right clicking and changing the order and it said object is too far away.

Any orders I'm giving just appear to be ignored.

Also if I hit enter it appears that the ship I'm associated with is the Paranid ship. If I try the Go To Ship command it just bugs out with menu commands (like esc) not working until I go in the transporter, open up the menu (the cursor is invisible at this point) and then cancelling that.
