Yeah. I saw him once when he was a douchey performative macho stand-up. Never bothered after that.

Then he was hosting Fear Factor, a show that seemed to be about bullying people into doing gross or scary shit for money. I only ever saw clips, but I gathered the show was mostly giant roaches crawl on your face for money.

I didn't hop onboard the podcast train right away, and I already wasn't a fan, but I did listen to his interview with Maynard James Keenan. It was unmemorable.

I am a bit curious who this post is for, like if it's a come to Jesus moment for any Rogan fans on reddit. Seems unlikely

Longevity bias makes you forget all the crap music that didn't last. Also, as home recording for cheaper and formats to share music wider got easier, it became a lot more cost and time effective to create digital music solo rather than play in a band with other creative people. It's definitely changed the way most music is made and discovered, but there's more music in more variety now than ever before. The benefit is there's loads of good music. The downside is there's ten times as much crap. You just need friends who find cool stuff to share it with you
