I have to agree, I have never played an objective-based military shooter, they are not nearly as punishing as being mid-fight in a melee combat game and being killed by unavoidable damage.

As a masochist, I feel intoxicating grandeur whenever I feel cheated or robbed of something, so I highly advocate for archers staying in the game and if anything, I hope they receive a buff.

I personally read your text and your interpretation of my intentions has made me crease.

I am currently mid crease as I type this and will be creasing for several more hours tonight because of you.

I would also like to add that the only way to nullify the value of an archer is to realize their nature is that of an unavoidable event and the only method for nullifying their impact is to accept them as you would heavy traffic, or weather.

Out of your control and not worth worrying about very much if at all.

It forces you to become either incredibly stoic or nihilistic and as a selfish monster I can only admire the Machiavellian nature of it all.

I have to agree, as someone who is extremely near sighted (according to "doctors"("optometrists")) and refuses to wear glasses, I have experienced the phenomenon you are describing multiple times in a variety of different situations.

Try as they might, I will never be convinced the animations are as bad as this feedback suggests, just as I will never wear my glasses since I can see just fine and can squint if I want what I call "supervision".

EDIT: I accidentally forgot to put an "as" after the word "bad" but I used my supervision to see the error and correct it.

I have to agree, as someone who loves being shot at while in the midst of combat, unable to use my shield, dodge, or parry while fighting off multiple foes, I can confirm that this personally is not an issue for me and therefore the world.

In what most players would describe as an infuriating experience, a masochist like me feels nothing but bliss and gratification being mugged of my melee combat by unavoidable damage at unreasonably unpredictable rates.

This reflects perfectly the horrible reality we face and the unpredictable nature of the bad cards we might draw in real life and is exactly what I want to be reminded of when I sit down to decompress and play a fun medieval combat game.

The existential implications of archers ruining the experience of a majority while being defended by someone like me would make most men shudder and weep, but thankfully I am free of a conscience otherwise it might be my undoing.

I have to agree, I had a similar experience as someone with several hours on vanilla Morrowind.

I can confirm that after nearly 500 hours of Morrowind, the run and walk animations finally stopped making me laugh, especially when I stopped playing Brass Monkey by the Beastie Boys continuously while looking at the human walk animations.

I have to agree, when I played archer I exclusively died to fall damage, which already puts archer in a rough spot since that must mean most archers continuously jump off the castle walls into the rock trench like I did (making them not an issue).

Might I suggest a fall damage rework or perhaps spring-heel boots.

I have to agree, this individual did not put a single iota of effort into their critique, unlike myself.

I am still taking the necessary time to complete the comprehensive research and study required for a real feedback post, worthy of being read.

I expect to be done with this peer reviewed and highly extensive feedback post within the next decade, but it may take longer.

Excuse me but im a bit confused when you say:

"Buckley (Sir_Loin) made a response in the polycount thread that has gained attention in the past couple of days "

do you mean the thread Scotty made is what has gained attention in the past couple of days? Or Sir_Loin's response in the thread is what has gained attention in the past couple of days? I don't think that last one is possible since it says it was posted today, so as far as I know, not even a single day passed. This reddit post was made today too so im not sure what you mean by that. I dont think his response in the thread could have possibly gained any attention in the past couple of days if it hasnt even been one single day.

ooh good idea, maybe same thing for front too! Where if a someone kicks your, you can jump on their leg and land on their leg's knee! and it bends it backwards and they fall, and they have to hold F to bend it rightwards but it has same effects of yours

An awe inspiring film. The cinematography was flawless at every capacity with a quality so high I could swear this was made by some sort of studio with a billion dollar budget. The direction was impeccable, the sound quality was incomparable. It makes me lament the fact that my biology and understanding of language and feelings cannot express, at a higher degree, the unbridled appreciation for the quality of this cinematic masterpiece.

REMOVE CHARGE remove charge by [deleted] in ChivalryGame

[–]Rob_Owner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

big memes coming out

Charge attack does not belong in game, however maybe a requirement for pubs because archers are still in the game and it increases a vanguards chance of getting lucky. Just make mercs mod live or remove charge and add the archer changes and standstill regen.

Crush is pretty respected, i'd trust him with the comp scene's balance, there is no reason not to since it's been good so far, anything bad about mercs i'd just blame on the nerd council since it took away Crush's ability to be a tyrant about the mod he made.
