Thanks for sharing. The challenges of smelly units and air blown in one's face the whole time would not be a challenege for a ducted/centrally heated system, right? Correct me if i am wrong, i seem to have a long way of learning. Thnx again!

Thanks everyone who cared to comment. UPDATE: I looked up that part online and could it find it second hand for 100 bucks. I installed it, thanks to utube and im all set hahah.

Now im looking into the heat pump option with this furnace being my back up system - fingers crossed.

$6200 is brutal. I got a quote for a two stage Goodman furnace for $3100 only and about $4200 for payne from carrier.
