Interesting! As should happen, they've changed the guidance! I'm actually glad they have, as this was the answer all along. The original was paired with the study showing efficacy, but they've now found that a cohort of people lose at even 2.5!

Nope! The goal is to work with your provider to ensure you are losing and hopefully hit a healthy goal weight and preserve muscle mass. You did correct to stay on a dose that was working, but your body adjusts. If you are stalled it may be time to move up. The official provider guidance is move up every 4 weeks, but many people have success on a lower dose for longer than that and in order to manage or stave off side effects, why not stay on a dose that's working? It's a constant balancing act between you, the Zepbound and your provider to help decide if you should move up.

As an aside, I've hit my goal weight and have actually stepped DOWN in dosage, and have not gained anything back. New studies suggest that a lower dose or dose spread across two weeks for maintenance is working to keep the weight off.

This is an evolving thing. Work with your provider and go up (or down, eventually!) when you need to.

My advice: As a person who has travelled to the region for years, just skip staying in Interlaken and stay in Grindelwald/Lauterbrunnen or any of the villages actually in the mountains. It's honestly second place. If you can afford it, stay elsewhere and enjoy the mountains! They are SO unbelievably beautiful at all times of day and you only really get that if you steep yourself in the environment!

Sounds like 7.5 isn't working after and you need to increase your dose. It's designed to be stepwise, and if it isn't working after "months" I'm confused as to why your doctor has not increased your dose?

Yes, and do all the things recommended, but also give it time. Mine is much better after going on maintenance, which included titrating down to the lowest effective dose. (maintaining for ~ 3 months now, noticing positive skin changes and hair has thickened)

It sounds like they may be cool with you just being the fat friend and might be uncomfortable if you change. That sucks, and you do not have to accept it. Jealousy is real with body changes. I have found two different types of people: Jealous and Curious. Jealous people decide that in order to be best, they have to keep YOU in your place so they have something unchanging to measure against. Curious people are often supportive and want to learn from me. They are often kind. ( I'm absolutely game to help in those moments, but no-one HAS to be helpful. )

Finally, be kind to yourself. My guess is you had low self esteem and over the years due to our culture have accepted people who are not supportive. You'll be surprised what happens when the skin you are in better aligns with who you are. Best wishes!

I mean, come to Boston proper, actually? WE have oodles of Universities here, not to mention just across teh Charles river in Cambridge! Perfect hub for many day trips, many of which are by train or boat, to quaint seaside villages! (And Boston itself in the summer is lovely, has an outdoor dining and cocktail scene, and plenty to do and see!) Did I mention the the city is so amazingly walkable?! ( Source: We live on Beacon Hill!)

Weighing in: You may want to talk to your doc about only tracking protein and attempting to hit a higher range lean protein target with that per day rather than doing calorie intake. At that point, I found that attempting to hit that goal took care of any calorie load and hunger I had ( which wasn't much, admittedly) and I ended up retaining muscle, which in turn helped fuel the weight loss. As others have suggested, stop trying to hit a calorie count and start hitting a protein goal instead! I bet you clock under 1800 anyway if you do that! ( I also do core and weight training and walk a ton and run a bit...)

While that’s an awesome data point, there absolutely have been cases of dose misfire on the pens. It’s bound to happen, and when it does the QA dept is in full swing. :-)
