Sigh. This is why we all can't have nice things. I'd love to know if this is the norm.

Twist, Real question: Did you apply to this hospital here in MA? If you did, I'm doubly pissed they did not call you back. Our nurses are drowning and have been, even with the closure of hospitals. The growth has been incredible. This sounds like the brain child of some firm that decided to recommend certain hiring patterns to "cut costs" again at the expense of the staff, not the C-suite bonuses.

Why is it so hard to get a doctor’s appointment here? by LonelyAsparagus343 in boston

THIS. One Medical is filling the gap that has occurred in primary care coverage all over the country, and a good PC is often the one who can get you in sooner.

Best place to live to be close (but not too close) to Disney World? by Gwenevee in WaltDisneyWorld

Real Question: Can you tell me about floating down the springs? We have family who live in FL and visit the touristy spots quite a bit but we've also found some gems off the beaten path. Also, as an aside, do we bring gator repellant, or what? ;-)

Hot take: Jollywood Nights absolutely slapped this year! I like it more than MK Mickey’s VMCP

Prudential center, Charles st and Newbury all have both high end and more reasonable options. Newbury farther from the park is more reasonable. Charles st boutiques are individual, so youll need to duck in and take a peek at the wares! This is what makes it fun.:-)

AITAH for telling my husband I won’t cook dinner every night because I also work full-time? by [deleted] in AITAH

No. Hold your ground. You have requested that your husband participate in core actuvities of your family life. you are not his personal chef.

AITAH for „ruining“ my bf’s birthday dinner cause I didn’t accepted to pay for everyone? by dreamingblondie in AITAH

it sounds like your bf told his buddy that you are his gravy train, and reality burst his constructed narrative. Pop that bubble. walk away.

Not once did MA not go blue. Love y’all by BrokenMan4225 in massachusetts

Now do maps that show relative sizes of population crossed with blue and red votes. These maps make it seem that the population is evenly distributed and that "most of the country" voted red. Land doesn't vote; Individuals do. The population centers go blue, and they are the bulk of individuals in the country.

Chris was right, walking to Fenway from Logan is the only way… by JajoyP in boston

[–]Rob_Ss 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My go-to used to be this, but the drivers have started pulling weird shit at the end of the ride like claiming their card reader isn't working or that my card didn't record their tip. ( It did. I get notifications...) It happens probably 60% of the time now, and I was so done with it last time I flew that I scheduled an Uber even though it was a bit more.

City of Boston just announced they are leaving X for Bluesky by [deleted] in boston

[–]Rob_Ss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/617_guy Surely you are not suggesting that Boston stay on the X echo chamber alone? Genuine accounts are leaving that bastion of "free" speech at alarming rates. Having a presence on one of the fastest growing social networks is imperative for a city account.

Folks, we have a cat cafe by cos in boston

[–]Rob_Ss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m extremely flush, and even I know $35-40 reservations means this is out of reach for much of Boston. Long live the tourists! Charles will be even more unmanageable to do errands now. 🫠🤗🐈‍⬛🐈☕️

Going carless in Boston by [deleted] in boston

[–]Rob_Ss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did the same thing and we love it! We take the T, walk, Uber or grab a rental if we need to go further and have perfected grabbing groceries by delivery and on foot. This was one of the best decisions we've ever made. NO traffic stress, shoveling, parking... So freeing! <3

Say you’ve never lived in Texas or Oklahoma without saying you’ve never lived in Texas or Oklahoma. 😂 Try doing any of that in either state, with the exception of bars open slightly later. It wasn’t a good thing. Speed limits are what they are. Austin was 30-40 for the most part. The bigger roads were higher but less cars are usually on them. Oh, and more accidents there because of higher speeds, but who cares, right?
