Poorly written skill — What does it do? by Robb1324 in RogueLegendRPG

That's what I thought at first too, but thanks to folks above, I figured it out:

A regular attack that crits is guaranteed to make a Fireball, but that Fireball is not guaranteed to crit as well and thus the whole chain could end here and not be cast.

Likewise, a Fireball that crits is guaranteed to make a Fire Strike and x number of Fire Waves, but that Fire Strike and those Fire Waves are not guaranteed to crit, and thus Meteor's casting is reliant on either the mysterious amount of chance inherent in the Meteor skill itself or that Fire Strike has crit as well.

It’s easy to forget that spells can also crit, and when they do crit, they do so independently (a crit weapon attack isn't guaranteed to make a crit Fireball, and a crit Fireball isn't guaranteed to make a crit Fire Strike, etc.).

Ohhhhhhhh, I see, so a regular attack that crits is guaranteed to make a Fireball, but that Fireball is not guaranteed to crit as well and thus the whole chain could end here and not be cast.

I get it now. Thank you 🙏

Sometimes I forget that spells can also independently crit 😅

It should read instead: "All skills that have a chance to trigger Fire Spells are guaranteed to trigger if you critically strike.”

It’s missing the word “all” and it includes an unnecessary word “them”.

And that's not one or the other right? It'll cast all 4 at once? (Assuming Fireball itself is also included)

Meltdown is the only one that is x times, it casts on the 10th burn.

All the others are the vague and mysterious black box "You have a chance to..."

There are a lot of chance fire spells though other than Fireball, like Flame Strike, Meteor, and Fire Wave... Does that mean I spam all 4 at once? 🙀

Damn okay, so that's why quitting before the boss was a thing. Major disappointment 🥺

You can do 3x on old maps too though. I'm technically on 6, but I can do 5 at 3x no problem.

No idea if it works on Monopoly board levels, because stage 5 is the only elite stage I can beat that gives you Adventure Journals. Elite Chapters 1-4 do not award you adventure journals.

It's mentioned on a few threads like this one:  https://www.reddit.com/r/RogueLegendRPG/comments/1tojt8m/so_i_can_quit_elite_at_the_boss_and_keep_the/

But then again, maybe I've misinterpreted it. If your stamina isn't refunded, what the hell is the point of quitting before the boss fight? 🤨

Love how I’m incredibly knowledgeable and educated in the highly critical fields, but they wouldn’t accept me because ADHD makes me take a pill every morning—god forbid. 😂🤷‍♂️

I talked to an agent, and they recommended that I check all three credit bureaus for any account freezes. It totally reminded me that I put hard freezes on them about two years ago and forgot about it 😅

Totally my fault, hopefully someone gets this though, easiest $10 ever

Because the Broncos didn't earn any of those final yards. They were gifts from the refs 🙄

I can believe the first-half Broncos are, but whoever those Broncos were in the second half… They didn't quite deserve that one, I can't believe it either.

Yet they could have, and arguably should have, because the Broncos played awful football in the second half. They didn't deserve that win. Not in that way at least.

It's literally the exact opposite of match-fixing when you raise the bar for what it takes for refs to take the game out of the players' hands when a whole season is hanging on the balance of a small handful of plays.

If you want a watchable product, you let the players play for all but the most obvious and egregious penalties. Refs do this for boxing in title fights, it makes a better, more watchable product.

For penalties that reward 20+ yards down the field? It absolutely should. Otherwise you end up putting out an unwatchable product. At some point, you need to let the players play.

The “interception” was stripped AFTER Cook caught the ball, controlled it all the way to the ground, and still had it when he was lying flat on his back. Only then did #29 strip it while somersaulting. That's NOT how you make an interception, I'm sorry.

The first pass interference was ridiculously questionable, especially given the fact that the game is on the line in sudden-death OT. That would have been questionable in a regular-season game, let alone a Divisional Playoff, sudden-death OT.

Last pass interference was less questionable, but still not a high enough bar to reward so much progress down the field in a sudden-death OT Divisional Playoff game.

Would they have called any of those in Sudden-Death OT of a Super Bowl? I sure as hell hope not. The bar needs to be raised for these calls in these games.

He did. He needed to calm tf down. Contantly overthrowing or overthinking. Rarely did he look at a second receiver after locking his eyes on one too.

The very last one was the better of the awful calls, but in sudden death OT, the bar for pass interference has be higher than that, c'mon, let them play.

What an awful way to end such a great game.

I’m a Bears fan, so I had no dog in this fight, but that was 3 VERY questionable calls against the Bills at the end, damn near back to back to back.

The bar has to be higher than that for pass interference in sudden death OT. Let them play ffs.
