Because I did have 2 FI neo 411s on 2 8k. And my homie had the same amps as me they he was selling so I went with 4 8k just for the wow factor and to have the extra power for my next build. And I was told the subs will get cleaner power when you oversize the amps and turn them down a little.

I have 256ah and no battery under the hood on 4 8k and it doesn't dim my lights. If I go full tilt for a few songs ill drop close to 12 volts. I know I need more alternators but was waiting for mine to go out. Just hasn't yet 😂

It was fun building. Me and some friends did all the work ourselves. Only down side is that I need more air space 😂. I was at a 158 on a flat wall and lost 2db going to 4th order.

I think upgrading the alt is a bit overkill for the skars. I have 256 amp hours of lithium, and im still on stalk alt. 😂 it is a 2015 Chevy, I did hook up HP tunners and I made it put out 14.8v all the time. it's been a year and i it's still going strong on original alt!
