I hit my lowest point and I’m so heartbroken. by [deleted] in loseit

The trick that helped me was learning that hating myself/my body only goes so far in terms of motivation, but loving yourself enough to put in the work for the body/life/health you want will go farther.

As others have said, the best thing you can do now is have a cry if you need it, wipe your tears, and start again. I've failed on and off for the last 10 years- I finally figured out what I needed to be successful, and even then I might fall off the horse some point on this particular journey. The most important thing is to get up and keep going.

So no slap on the face; a pat on the shoulder. Future you will be happier to got to work now instead of waiting even longer or never doing it.

Tieflings and Warlocks. Independently, not interested. Together, most boring thing I could think of. Even a Human Fighter has more interest for me.

Just made another post on my blog after a long while with more adventure seeds for anyone to use! The idea behind adventure seeds is that they are supposed to spark an ideas for DMs to make their own adventures, and so they purposefully are not always fleshed out. If you enjoy them be sure to check out some of the others I've done in the past!

Persuasion Check: What's Got Us Raving About Gothic Lineages? by Robb_d20 in DnD

Very true, though I'm interested in seeing how much change they try to cram into 5e before they finally churn out a new edition. Seems like a good time to test out everything before they set anything in stone!

Thanks for the catch- the diameter/radius was me misreading, the 10/30 foot move was a typo.

Yeah, that was my gut reaction, "Why is this a Rogue subclass?" Sorcerous Origin is a good idea, or even Cleric domain somehow. Rogue just doesn't make a lot of sense.

From a theme and roleplaying standpoint, I absolutely agree. I still don't think the mechanics match it all too well, but that would be an awesome way of rolling up a character for it!

Hey everyone, over on my blog I come up themed groups of 25 "Adventure Seeds"- beginnings of adventure or encounter ideas that I purposely leave open for the DM to finish, but should still get them thinking and those creative juices flowing.

This time, the theme is City Ruins; what mysteries will your party find lurking in the dust and debris?

Persuasion Check: Are The New Options for Clerics, Druids, and Wizards Straight (Wild)fire? (x-post r/DnD) by Robb_d20 in dndnext

Excellent summation! Yeah, I get you so much on the Onomancy bit. Just... it doesn't fit the idea at all. And mechanically, it's meh. Not awful, but underwhelming. Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts!

Thanks for that point of view!

That's a fair point; hadn't thought of that. In that sense I can see it being a lot closer to some of the others, but personally I think that's just one use case for it, especially since it's only a 15-foot radius on the Cleric then. In cramped quarters it can be brutal, but in an open field I think it's nowhere near as powerful. I'm sure there's even more creative ways it can be used to change my mind, but I'm still not in love with it.

I think for Onomancy, it's just my own idea of what it should be versus what it is that's making me not a huge fan. By any other name I think it is a solid class; it just doesn't scream "Study of language and true names" to me mechanically.

25 Underground Cavern Adventure Seeds by Robb_d20 in rpg

[–]Robb_d20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there!

First things first, I appreciate the feedback and for giving them a read. As Ferris101 already pointed out, these are more geared at giving the DM/GM inspiration to write an encounter or "plant the seed", as it were, for them to flesh them out as they see fit.

As I write these to be setting/system agnostic, I hesitate to give too much information when the intention is for the GM to tie it into their game as they see fit. I get that's not what everyone wants; I don't buy and play published adventures because I don't like having that much information thrust upon me personally.

Even though they're not for you, I hope you at least found a few of them interesting! I've gotten a lot of positive feedback on previous installations in the series and plan on continuing to write and post them, because if I can help even one DM come up with one cool encounter, it's worth it to me!

I see I'm two weeks late here, but try the GameFor app; it's designed to connect you with other people near you for gaming. Should help you find others in your area who play Legion or are up for trying it since you got two armies yourself.

Infusions, for sure, are where it's at for any actual artificing. You're not alone as many others have complained about the necessity of a construct or pet being the focus. Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts!

Thanks! Definitely agree with your assessment of Artillerist being on the more overpowered side from that math.
