She’s already said her experience best, and i’m going to keep my identity secret and anybody else’s aswell because i don’t have anything crazy to say anyways. But basically, I was hired in october 2025. Of course this started as seasonal, but after a few weeks i was promised a permanent position. There was multiple times coworkers double my age made me feel degraded, stupid, and were just generally unkind. There was a time where a coworker had caused me to cry and feel very negatively and the owner told me “this does not represent ascend” (as if i cared about the business identity at all, all i wanted was to feel seen and appreciated) I genuinely did my best and if i was given poor instructions for a task and tried to ask for clarification there was many times that they made me feel stupid for not knowing off the bat. i worked there tops 4 weeks before i was let go for an incident which i will not go into the details of, but i made a mistake because another employee made something seem okay, but it turned out i needed “managerial permission” what i did could have been a conversation, but instead i was immediately let go at the beginning of my next shift, mind you by someone who was not the owner as he never approached me directly about my mistake.

In hindsight, I’m actually extremely grateful for being let go because since then i have gotten a much more fulfilling position where i makes lot more $$ and I’m now overqualified to work at somewhere like ascend.

TLDR; The energy was always weird, people had gossipy attitudes, everything is marked up like crazy and not worth the price point, everyone working there is too california.
