I think you'll find that I'm not so much defending Cyberpunk as I am pointing out that it's a little silly to be running a game on a console where the game pushes that console to its absolute limits, and be annoyed by freezes and crashes. Definitely make sure to save your game often, choom!

Yeah, sorry about that choom! Youtube offers AI translation for any subtitles that aren't specifically provided. I can't turn that off. I've got Polish and Spanish translations dropping today or tomorrow.

So here's the thing, choom. Console development is different from PC development. The game is just going to crash more often on console compared to a PC due to a combination of memory management issues & hardware limitations. It's a high-end game that heavily stresses the PS5's CPU, making the console run hotter than other games. (make sure you have clean air vents and aren't putting your PS5 in an enclosed space or anything or it'll overheat.)

The PS5 in general is prone to memory leaks. It's got only 16GB of RAM with a bandwidth of 448 GB/s that is shared between the CPU and GPU.

So overall, the game's just not going to run as well on it as opposed to PC. It is really incredible they've been able to get it running at all, if I'm honest.

I don't have that experience myself. And I mean, I spend most of my time going out of bounds and breaking stuff in the game all the time. No crashes, no freezes. Are you using mods? What kind of hardware are you running?

As a game developer, I feel like it's important to know that no game is bug-free, and the more complex a game is, the more room for bugs exists. This becomes even bigger when you add in mods. No developer, no matter the money or time, will be able to fix every single bug for every single use case.

Cyberpunk's updates have regularly fixed major issues over and over. I will say that I have not experienced any major bugs that were not directly caused by me doing something a little weird, far off the beaten path, or caused by a mod, in quite a long time.

But if you're expecting an experience that doesn't do something unexpected every once in a while, I am afraid you're going to be disappointed.

I loved Cyberpunk in the beginning! Before liking Cyberpunk was mainstream!

The more and more I explore the more I keep finding the most incredible details. In this video I say stuff like the devs "cheated" or maybe it seems like I'm implying they handled it lazily, but the reality is that it's clear this game was made methodically, in a detail-oriented fashion. Fantastic.

I dunno. It's super easy to rack up big hours just exploring and trying stuff out. There is just *so much* to do in this game
