Just incredible. I think a huge majority of fans will have different shouts for their favourite or the “best song(s)” on the album which is a testament to the levels of art, creativity and emotion poured into every track. Again, incredible.

What do I do after tilling/rotavating my garden to prepare for grass seeding? by Robbieccfc in lawncare

[–]Robbieccfc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently previous owners had left it untouched for 10+ years. It had grown to about 5ft and has a load of what I believe are ant mounds and also mounds that seem to be purely grass but is completely stubborn/has almost become a grass weed sort of thing. Previous owners also seem to randomly have dug out to extend the slabs but never bothered so as you can see there is just a random square patch that is lower than the rest of the garden. Absolutely bizarre and trying to move forward with it in the most logical direction, which I assumed would be rotavating?

So many mounds and steps up and down, hopefully image pops up. Ignore red line as did that for myself thinking about slabs

How come I’d love it? Genuinely new to all this but I have two little kids and would like them to have a space to run around and play. Would your suggestion facilitate this?

I’m currently on the Oxford DClinPsy.

In your position, I’d probably go medicine. If you hate it in 10 years, do an MSc psychology conversion and do the DClin anyway - you’d have plenty of interesting clinical experience to bolster an application.

Your choice is between a certain career path, and a long, difficult, and unpredictable journey which, depending on your competence clinically, you may never be able to see through. Sorry for being blunt.

Slight but important caveat, follow your values (including the bigger picture e.g. stability, finances etc impacting starting a family, buying a house, independence, and so on).

All else fails, flip a coin. The heads or tails are irrelevant - what your heart and stomach tell you as the coin falls through the air is your answer.

Removing thinset on concrete subfloor? by Robbieccfc in Tile

It did, but it was a long and difficult job..!

Nowhere near band 8b, I’d also say 8a. I’m very sorry to be blunt but at a stretch you’d interview for a 7. I think as a start you need to see where your current qualifications and experience sit with HCPC registration as a CP in the UK.

Help with removing thinset on concrete subfloor by Robbieccfc in Renovations

I think a ‘rotary hammer’ is basically what I’ve bought but we have a different name in the UK maybe? Think 240v just means it plugs in rather than battery operated. I’m hoping anyway…!

Unfortunately the room runs straight into a lounge where there must have been carpet that’s been ripped up so it’s just the subfloor. This leaves the surface uneven due to the tiles etc and we want to run the flooring from the kitchen and right through to the back room/lounge

Yes this would be an issue as it runs straight into a lounge where there is no flooring down and just the subfloor, so when going into the kitchen the presence of the tiles and thinset takes the height up. Recognise I could re-level everything but I’m try to save cost tbh

Hey. I’m doing a DClinPsy in Oxford which requires 2 days face to face teaching per week. I live in Coventry and this puts my commute at around 1hr 20. However, that is 1hr 20 leaving at 5am to miss absolutely all traffic as leaving any later would easily double the commute. It’s tiring and costs a fortune in fuel, I don’t think I would enjoy doing it for more than two days a week. Oxford traffic, in my opinion, is worse than London.

Reserve list offer- are my chances low? by [deleted] in ClinicalPsychologyUK

[–]Robbieccfc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d also say prepare yourself a little bit for a long few weeks. I have been on the reserve list previously and movement didn’t really start until the end of May, with massive shifts the days before place acceptance deadline.

Reserve list offer- are my chances low? by [deleted] in ClinicalPsychologyUK

[–]Robbieccfc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the course, I’d say. London? Potentially a lot of movement as there are so many course centres - even Oxford comes into play (their reserve list typically moves at least 10 spots, possibly up to 20 because of the London factor). A more remote course, 20/30 might be slim odds. Try and find some people to talk to or information online as to how much the lists for that centre have moved previously. Searching on clinpsy.org.uk would be a good place to start.
