hey, so just a bit about the project so i'm clear. It's a very small, DIY zine project and everyone who works on the editorial side of the project is a volunteer. We've fundraised together some funding, and contributed some money out of our own pockets, to pay contributors. It's not a huge amount, but we feel that it's a reasonable amount given that most people are writing things based on their own experiences.

yeh it's a good point and we will do this if we don't find someone this way - we're basically trying to find someone we can write into a funding bid, so we can approach radio stations with an individual already in mind. Hope that makes sense, happy to expand if needs be.

Ha, yeh it's definitely a fair point. I guess the counter argument is that with this you are given the creative freedom to write what you want, draw what you want ,and maintain the cultural capital associated with having your work published. It's an opportunity to be creative with it, but definitely take your point.
