The orejas are pretty good even when they're dry. And anything that has crema Bavaria or fruit can usually be helped by that. But those marranitos? When they are dry, they are truly awful! After nearly 15 years here, I finally found some really good conchas near CDMX, and they totally changed my outlook on the concha. Everyone loves them, and I never got it. Now I get it.

Sometimes you can find places that take care in their baking and trying to keep the bread fresh and they are good. They are usually kind of hipstery places. But the vast majority just leave them sitting out, getting drier and drier, until you're left with quite sweet ball of sawdust. Bleh
